Shirley Manson Shows Off Her Stylish Mind
I never thought I’d be posting pictures of my favorite female rock icon looking like a pasty, lace-covered Joan Pringle on my own personal gossip website, but here I am, and there she is.
“DON’T CALL IT A COMEBACK, SHIRLEY MANSON IS A CLASSIC” is a tagline more to my liking than the usual “Garbage is still around?” Or “yeah I had their record when I was 15 and depressed. It was pretty good.”
2005′s Bleed Like Me was the last Garbage album but a fresh one is finally coming this year in the springtime. To me, she is ready to continue her reign, not resume it. In the latest issue of V Magazine she discusses music, her childhood and of course her own views on fashion.
“It’s funny, I never thought of myself as particularly fashionable. I always looked at what everybody else was doing and wanted to do the opposite…I never wanted clothes that spoke for me. I wanted to be the one who spoke.”
“I remember playing the wicked witch in The Wizard of Oz when I was in school – my hair was straightened and I had black eye makeup on – and I remember that it was the first time I ever looked in the mirror and felt beautiful. “
…Somewhere, Tyler Shields is smirking over that black eye remark. When it comes to the mentality behind fashion, which is something that cannot be taught, she has it pegged.

“Style is what you have to say and what you think. Anyone can wear an amazing designer’s outfit, but it doesn’t make you stylish. As an artist and as a woman, I feel duty-bound to say that. Style is about who you are and how you live your life.”

We have a spot in our tent her for you CowFace, now that Martha, has left the Ranch.
Just goes to show you her looks have gone away with her career. She looks
