Kiefer Sutherland’s Return To Fox

Fox has already ordered 13 episodes of a Touch, a new show starring my favorite blonde Canadian vampire, Kiefer Sutherland.

Sutherland plays the role of a father of a young mute boy (David Mazouz) who can predict the future.

The show is a project by Heroes creator Tim Kring, and it will air on Thursdays in Spring of 2012.

Sutherland is not the only veteran actor enlisted, Danny Glover will star as a professor who works with gifted children…

Brit actress Gugu Mbatha-Raw (Doctor Who, Larry Crowne) has also been cast in Touch as well as David de Lautour. (Ben, in What I Like About You)

Kiefer didn’t wait long to return to television, did he? After all, 24 ended just last year, but he says he was practically magnetized to the role:

“Every once in a while, you encounter a piece of material that you cannot say ‘no’ to.”

This is Tim Kring’s first project since Heroes, which also saw the end of its final season in 2010.

[This show sounds sketchy. I’m wary of anything involving the words “predict the future,” “Tim Kring,” and “Heroes”]
