Cedric Yarbrough As ‘Gandalf The Black’

In 2004 a musical version of Tolkien’s The Fellowship of the Ring was born.

The partially-improvised Fellowship! in its most recent form stars Chris Tallman, original creator Kelly Holden-Bashar, and Reno 911!/The Boondock Saint’s Cedric Yarbrough.

I was listening to Girl On Guy with Aisha Tyler the other day and she happened to be interviewing Yarbrough, who talked about his time as “Gandalf The Black” at Trepany House in Los Angeles.

Fellowship! runs twice every Friday night – through June 29th, 2012. If you live in the area, there’s no excuse not to go.

The play’s website describes that you will see The Balrog “performing his sequin-studded cabaret number!” Barefooted tap-dancing Hobbits!” and An 80s power ballad… with rocking guitar solo by the rightful heir of Gondor!”
