Ron Perlman, more recently known as bike gang-leader Clay Morrow on Sons Of Anarchy, put on the makeup of the character he is perhaps most famous for – Hellboy.
Not for a sequel but for the Make-A-Wish foundation.
The makeup effects studio Spectral Motion (who did the original effects) came together with the silver-headed actor at the request of a young boy named Zachary to fulfill his wish of meeting and becoming the unconventional superhero created by Mike Mignola in 1993.
It was not mentioned what illness Zachary has, but the foundation only grants wishes to kids with life-threatening conditions.
Perlman also brought fries, burgers and shakes to Zach and his family.
In 2011, after director Guillermo del Toro hinted that Perlman did not want to make a third Hellboy movie because of the makeup, Ron told io9 a different story:
“A lot of time [has passed] and lot of water has gone under the bridge, I’m well healed — and just knowing what his idea was for the third installment of the trilogy and how epic and theatrical and powerful a film it would be, it’s got to be made. I really feel like its got to be made. It would be a great disservice to the first two films if you don’t see how they wind up.”
