Lena Dunham and her highly-criticized (hilariously random and painfully awkward) HBO comedy Girls are nominated for three Emmys this year for directing, Comedy Actress and Comedy Series.
Other personal favorites include Supporting Drama Actor Peter Dinklage who won for his portrayal of Tyrion “The Imp” Lannister in 2011, Breaking Bad‘s Bryan Cranston, The Voice (Reality Competition Program), Degrassi (Children’s Program), and Seth Green’s Robot Chicken.
Jimmy Fallon, whose gig as Late Night show host has been on since 2009, earned a nod for Outstanding Variety and Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series for SNL (along with Melissa McCarthy and Maya Rudolph).
Also, Connie Britton, Jessica Lange, Denis O’Hare and Frances Conroy were all nominated for their roles on American Horror Story.
On the passing of her Desperate Housewives co-star Kathryn Joosten who appears in the Supporting Comedy Actress category this year, Brenda Strong told CNN,

“[Joosten] and I actually had a conversation during the last episode and she said, ‘You know, I might not make it long enough to get to the Emmys, but regardless, I hope you’ll vote for me.”
“I gave her the biggest hug and I said, ‘Kathryn, you’ll always have my vote.'”

LOL! Well, I guess her hairy leg situation doesn’t hold her back at all seeing as she is going to dominate this year’s Emmys! I love “Girls”! Hannah reminds me so much of myself, straight out of college before I got my career at Dish, except I would’ve never dated Adam. Ew. Great, now all I want to do is watch the whole season over again! Luckily, I have the Hopper DVR that has so much recording space that I never had to delete a single episode. I guess I know what I’ll be doing today!

Yeah I too wondered if those were thigh sideburns or shadows. A mystery for the ages.
