Gaga responded to Osbourne telling the press that Little Monsters told her to kill herself and that they hope she gets raped in a lengthy online message that read:
“I have empathy for you Kelly, but I feel it culturally important to note that you have chosen a less compassionate path.”
This is in reference to Fashion Police, the show in which Joan Rivers wittily compares women’s dresses to tampons, which Gaga says is “rooted in criticism, judgment, and rating people’s beauty against one another.”
Mother Sharon Osbourne and co-workers Joan Rivers and Melissa Rivers all popped into the ring in Kelly’s defense.
Mrs. O: “When I see you wearing fur, and using it as a fashion statement, the fact that defenseless animals have been killed so you can get your picture in the press is abhorrent to me.”
Joan: “’Fashion Police’ is a comedy show. Anyone that comes out of an egg should figure that out. Lighten up.”
Melissa: “Gaga has so much power and is such an icon and can flip a switch and have everyone turn on someone – that’s the ultimate mean girl.”
At the root of every problem, there’s a bitch. Or two. Who do you think is the “bully” in this situation?
