Katherine McPhee Caught Kissing Married ‘Smash’ Director

katherine mcphee kissing director Uh oh, looks like we have a repeat of the K-Stew/Rupert Sanders debacle. This time, it’s Smash director Michael Morris in hot water after photos of him kissing the show’s star, American Idol runner-up Katherine McPhee, were posted to TMZ.

Morris has been married to actress and frequent Howard Stern and Chelsea Handler guest Mary McCormack since 2003. It gets worse, Michael and Mary have three daughters together, and the youngest is only two. McPhee, 29, is also still technically married (“separated”) to some lesser-known, older producer.

Word has it, Morris was kicked out of the house by his wifey for not-lifey after he realized TMZ had obtained proof of the affair and confessed.

I wonder if Eric the Midget is considering catching a balloon to L.A. for a boost into the kissing booth.

‘American Idol’ Season 13 Officially Has The Worst Judge’s Panel Ever

American idol judges 2013With newbie Harry Connick Jr. and stragglers Jennifer Lopez and Keith Urban filling American Idol’s judge seats for season 13, I have to ask, WHY?

Why is the show still airing? Why did they pick Harry Connick Jr. and WHY did Jennifer Lopez agree to come back on the leaky sinking ship that Simon Cowell and Paula Abdul built and abandoned ages ago?

The Voice has had Shakira, Usher, Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo and Adam Levine, and they pick Harry Connick Jr.? America’s Got Talent is not doing much better with Mel B. It’s really not that hard to know what the kids are into these days…

X-Factor knows. Khloe, Demi, Britney… Harry Connick Jr. is only cool to people who still read newspapers, watch TV for the Brady Bunch reruns and masturbate to polaroid pictures they keep in a shoebox.

‘American Idol’ Judge Fight, Round One – Nicki Minaj Vs. Mariah Carey

Nicki Minaj brought Queens, New York to American Idol during an audition in Charlotte where she said she refuses to put up with “her royal fucking highness” Mariah Carey, who she also calls “boring as fuck.”

See and hear it for yourself over at TMZ. There’s a partially audible video of Nicki going crazy, saying things like “if you say one more disrespectful thing to me … off with your head!”

During an argument that began over a contestant’s performance in North Carolina, Carey’s cool-headed attitude only seemed to send Nicki into more of a full-force, highly escalated rage.  Continue reading “‘American Idol’ Judge Fight, Round One – Nicki Minaj Vs. Mariah Carey”

Three High-Profile Celebrity Judges And One Dawg Confirmed For ‘American Idol’

American Idol producers have sealed the deal with Nicki Minaj and Keith Urban, who will join Mariah Carey and Randy Jackson (who was rumored to not be returning) as judges.

The people behind this are EXTREMELY excited. Possibly more excited than longtime viewers.

Mike Darnell called the grouping “one of the most exciting judging panels around,” while Simon Fuller used the word “dynamic” to describe season 12.  Continue reading “Three High-Profile Celebrity Judges And One Dawg Confirmed For ‘American Idol’”

‘The X Factor’ Season Two Vs. ‘The Voice’ Season Three

The second episode of NBC’s The Voice aired on Wednesday at the same time as Fox’s U.S. The X Factor season two. Christina and Britney pitted against each other in a Mickey Mouse Club judge-off…

While Britney entertained me more than Christina, I will still vouch for The Voice over X Factor, Idol, and America’s Got Talent. Here’s why:  Continue reading “‘The X Factor’ Season Two Vs. ‘The Voice’ Season Three”

Randy ‘Dawg’ Jackson Retires From Idol

Randy Jackson is stepping away from his judging position on American Idol after 11 seasons.

TMZ has learned that Jackson will stay on as a “mentor” in the 12th season when judges Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj debut.

No word on who Randy’s replacement will be.

We do know that it ISN’T Kanye or Diddy, and that Enrique Inglesias and Keith Urban are in talks to fill the spot.

New information will be released in coming days, says executive producer Simon Fuller.

There will be several positive announcements to follow shortly, American Idol is moving up a gear and with the help and commitment from Fox, who are more intimately involved and supportive this season than ever before, we are looking forward to a dynamic new season ahead.”   Continue reading “Randy ‘Dawg’ Jackson Retires From Idol”

Judge Jennifer Lopez Tells Judge Mariah And Judge Britney To Not ‘Think Too Much’

Two-year American Idol judge J-Lo has advice for the two latest big-name pop princesses to try their uncalloused hands at music competition judging.

“If you try and think too much about what people might think or what you’re saying too much, I think you get lost.” …That’s Lopez’s advice to X Factor‘s Britney Spears, and honorable season 12 Idol judge Mariah Carey.

Here’s a short list of things that are a problem for Mariah Carey and Britney Spears…  Continue reading “Judge Jennifer Lopez Tells Judge Mariah And Judge Britney To Not ‘Think Too Much’”

Yennifer Lopez Jumps Out Of The Sinking Idol Ship

Up until 2009 American Idol had the same judges – Simon, Paula and Randy.

It was something you could count on, even if counting on a show that has produced only four truly successful radio artists (Kelly Clarkson, Daughtry, Carrie Underwood and Adam Lambert) feels like too much work. Now it’s lacking credibility and stability.

First Steven Tyler announced his departure from the show after two years as a judge and today Jennifer Lopez called into Ryan Seacrest’s radio show to say she’s moving on as well. Here are her confusing words:

“It’s been a long thought process. I really have been torn… but even last year, it was super tough to decide. Something has to give. That’s where I am right now.”  Continue reading “Yennifer Lopez Jumps Out Of The Sinking Idol Ship”

Steven Tyler Breaks Up With His Mistress, ‘American Idol’

After two years of watching amateurs sing, American Idol judge Steven Tyler is departing from the show to do what he does best. No, not breaking gender boundaries and confusing people who have poor eyesight – being a frontman!

He released a statement yesterday saying he wanted to focus on Aerosmith.

“After some long…hard…thoughts…I’ve decided it’s time for me to let go of my mistress American Idol before she boils my rabbit,” he said. “I strayed from my first love, Aerosmith, and I’m back.”

J-Lo and Randy Jackson may also not be returning but there has been no confirmation either way. Adam Lambert, Miley Cyrus, Will.i.am Katy Perry, Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj are rumored to be eyeing the position(s).  Continue reading “Steven Tyler Breaks Up With His Mistress, ‘American Idol’”

Judges L.A. Reid, Nicole Scherzinger, Paula Abdul and Simon Cowell

Simon Cowell’s X-Factor debuted in America on Wednesday, September 21st, after endless promotional hype and the phenomenal pairing and reunion of him and Paula Abdul’s “Opposites Attract” chemistry.

Cowell told Rolling Stone that the show “Feels different, it feels more modern, it looks bigger, but most importantly it’s just got a
different voice to ‘Idol…'”
