Not only is a Central Perk opening in SoHo and serving free coffee in giant cups to customers on the iconic orange couch from Friends, but Jennifer Aniston, Courtney Cox AND Lisa Kudrow stopped by Jimmy Kimmel for a mini reunion in a replica of Monica’s apartment.

Celebrities Remember Tupac On Twitter

Exactly 15 years ago on September 13th, 1996, Tupac Shakur, one of the best rappers of all time, passed away at after a drive-by shooting.

He was shot near the Maxim hotel in Las Vegas on September 7th after attending a boxing match featuring Mike Tyson and died of respiratory and heart failure in the hospital on this date. If he were alive, he’d be 40 years old.

According to TMZ, Tupac’s mother Afeni Shakur is spending the anniversary of his death with her friends and family in Northern California. Her rep told the source that ‘it feels like he died yesterday and the pain hasn’t subsided even a little…’

10 Year Anniversary of Aaliyah’s Death

Ten years ago on this date, August 25th, R&B artist Aaliyah, 22, died in a tragic plane crash. She a phenomenal performer, recording artist, and aspiring actress and one of three of the most surprising deaths that I’ve witnessed in my lifetime next to Brittany Murphy and Heath Ledger.

Aaliyah was rising to level of fame that would have secured her a spot on the radio in today’s market. She had the star power of a toned-down Rihanna and was famous for her collaborations with Timbaland and Missy Elliot. She was also an excellent dancer, comparable at that time to Britney Spears or Beyonce…

The 20th Anniversary of Super Nintendo (Best of SNES)

Everybody’s favorite classic gaming console is the Super Nintendo, originally released in North America on August 23, 1991. The “Super Nintendo Entertainment System” abbreviated “SNES,” had/has the widest assortment of iconic games of any system to date not to mention evolutionary graphics for their time, plus catchier songs than anything on Top 40 radio. It was a lucky thing to own a SNES in the 90’s, they originally went for around $200 but lowered to $99 in their later years.

SNES is the 7th bestselling console of all time (2nd best of the 90’s after Playstation) and that includes all recent consoles, not to mention inflation. I actually remember renting a SN and a few games (usually Donkey Kong) at the video store in the early 90’s. Nowadays, it’s practically unheard of to walk into a video store let alone rent a game AND an entire console. Now we have Redbox…
