Facebook’s Infuriating Policies Allow Removal Of Post Exposing Misogynist Pig

facebook messsage asking for nudesApparently Facebook and their employees are in the business of protecting incomprehensibly ignorant, entitled and pushy men.

Yesterday, a friend I’ve known for years received a message asking if she’d be interested in selling pictures of her body. Totally fucking presumptuous and gross, right? Let me interject for a moment by saying that being accosted by random pervs is not flattering. Just a little tip for all the guys out there: most of us prefer well-worded compliments from people we know, trust and respect.

My friend, who is pretty familiar with this type of behavior from years of social media-having — not to mention multiplayer gaming on Xbox Live — decided to thwart his efforts with humor, telling him she was sans genitalia. Donald Sterling Fined Millions, Banned From All Things NBA for Life Over Racist Remarks

Donald Sterling fatI’m sure Donald Sterling regrets not sitting up in his executive suite waving his liver-spotted fingers and wishing whips were allowed through security at Staples Center every time a Clipper player missed a free throw.

After all, no one’s ever gotten a $2.5 million dollar fine or lifetime ban from the NBA for racist thoughts, but that is the exact punishment doled out to him by Commissioner Adam Silver for voicing his backwards opinions on minorities.

I’m not exactly defending the old fart, because someone like him really should not have any say in what goes on with a group of African-American men, but his thoughts aren’t even remotely unusual for a white man born in 1933. Black men being able to vote, let alone date white women without getting flogged and thrown in a tree, is a revelation to him.

Justin Timberlake’s “Tunnel Vision” Banned From YouTube for Boobies

Tunnel Vision still Justin Timberlake
The video for J-Timbo’s “Tunnel Vision” has been temporarily banned from YouTube because of all the topless women snake dancing through the frame as Justin sings about Jessica Biel’s cave of wonders.

Fortunately or unfortunately the video will likely be back on YouTube with an age-restricted required sign-in just like Robin Thicke’s “Blurred Lines” and David Bowie’s “The Next Day.”

I hate to bash America on the 4th of July, but this would never happen in Europe…  Continue reading “Justin Timberlake’s “Tunnel Vision” Banned From YouTube for Boobies”

Lindsay Lohan Shut Out Of Chateau Marmont, Owes $46,000

Lindsay Lohan is closing on seven entire years of train wreck fame. After her early appearances on SNL and performance in the movie Mean Girls, she entered into the territory of being famous not for her talents, but for her repeated mistakes.

To confirm that she’s in complete denial of this, the freckled queen of immoral behavior got a Billy Joel lyric tattoo with the words “Clear as a crystal sharp as a knife I feel like I’m in the prime of my life” scrolling across her side.

Maybe if she spent more time proving that she belongs in the industry and less on TELLING us, she wouldn’t be in the news so much for things like owing Chateau Marmont $46,350 for a two-month stay.  Continue reading “Lindsay Lohan Shut Out Of Chateau Marmont, Owes $46,000”

Kanye, Courtney, Axl – Biggest Concert Divas Of 2012

Courtney Love kicked off the festivities of awkward concert behavior at the Sao Paolo Music and Arts Festival in mid November when she screamed and stripped after a fan held up a photo of Kurt Cobain.

Fast forward to December and we hear that Tyler, The Creator vandalized a soundboard and incited a riot at the legendary Roxy on Sunset Blvd though he’s not headline-worthy in my mind.  Continue reading “Kanye, Courtney, Axl – Biggest Concert Divas Of 2012”

Doonesbury Pulled From Newspapers For Abortion Focus

Newspapers in several states including Oregon, Florida and Texas refused to print Doonsebury comic strips after the series focused on the topic of abortion for a week.

Obvious references to Rush Limbaugh’s “slut” comment and the two sponsors of the abortion sonogram bill (which would require women to examine their baby before termination) Sen. Dan Patrick and Rep. Sid Miller, appeared prominently.

In the comic, legislator “Sid Patrick” asks a young woman if her parents “know she’s a slut” after she mentions using contraceptives.  Continue reading “Doonesbury Pulled From Newspapers For Abortion Focus”

Dakota Fanning’s Banned Perfume Ad

When describing this situation TooFab.com said that “Dakota Fanning has managed to keep away from controversy, until now.” Which isn’t exactly true, if anyone saw The Runaways or Hounddog, which contained a rape scene.

The latest controversy surrounding a still teenage Dakota Fanning, child star and current Twilight actress, involves a perfume ad distributed by Coty UK, which was recently banned in England.

The objection comes from several readers, who saw the Marc Jacobs “Oh, Lola!” perfume promo in a magazine and complained that it was “offensive and irresponsible.” The ASA then (Advertising Standard Authority) intervened saying,

“We understood the model was 17 years old but we considered she looked under the age of 16. We considered that the length of her dress, her leg and position of the perfume bottle drew attention to her sexuality. Because of that, along with her appearance, we considered the ad could be seen to sexualise a child.”
