Olympian Tom Daley and Actress Maria Bello Casually Step of the Closet

In totally unsurprising and then slightly surprising news, Olympic diver Tom Daley and Maria Bello (played the wife in A History of Violence and replaced Rachel Weisz in the last Mummy movie) both announced that they are in same-sex relationships this weekend.

Daley – a Tumblr-favorite and teen icon in his own right – has had gay rumors swirling around him like a tornado since we first heard his name, but I’m less in tune (and therefore more interested) in the personal life of Bello.

In a touching article for The New York Times, Bello described a discussion she had with her 12-year-old son about romance. When she decided to tell him that her partner was a woman, he sweetly replied, “Mom, love is love, whatever you are.” Excerpt:

I loved him so much for saying that. “But Jack, I’m a little scared,” I said. “When I was younger, people judged you if you were in a romantic relationship with a person of the same sex, and some still do. So I’m not sure how to deal with this. But we’ll figure it out together.”

She went on to say that her, her ex, their son and her partner Clare live in complete harmony. In the piece entitled “Coming Out as a Modern Family,” she writes that they all have dinner together every night and carpool to soccer tournaments.  Continue reading “Olympian Tom Daley and Actress Maria Bello Casually Step of the Closet”

Michelle Rodriguez ‘Intrigued’ by Both Men and Women

Michelle Rodriguez butchy rolesWith her signature snarl, glare, walk and moderately cliche but fun “strong woman” roles in movies like The Fast and the Furious, Resident Evil, Avatar and Girlfight, the public has long assumed that Michelle Rodriguez is a Suburu-driving clam slammer.

She addresses the age-old rumors in an interview with Entertainment Weekly, saying “I’ve never walked the carpet with anyone, so they wonder: What does she do with her vagina? Plus, I play a butchy girl all the time, so they assume I’m a lesbo.”

And then: Eh, they’re not too far off. I’ve gone both ways. I do as I please. I am too f*cking curios to sit here and not try when I can. Men are intriguing. So are chicks.”  Continue reading “Michelle Rodriguez ‘Intrigued’ by Both Men and Women”

Craziest Crazytown Answers From Lindsay Lohan’s Crazy Piers Morgan Interview

Piers Morgan Lindsay LohanLindsay Lohan did a rare, non-televised interview with Piers Morgan for the Daily Mail in a “borrowed” townhouse in Manhattan. She was wearing “bright striped pyjamas” (British spelling), and talking about everything that ever happened in her life. Ever.

Her first drink: I was 17… I got really sick and Mom made me sleep with vomit still on me so I’d understand how it felt. I didn’t drink again throughout high school. I was too scared!

“So you’re an alcoholic?”: No … But when I was younger I was definitely going out too much and I was drinking too much. I was accused of everything, even stealing a necklace. I’d never steal a necklace.

Cocaine: Everyone thinks I’ve done it so many times. But I’ve only done it maybe four or five times.

Her drugs of choice: Pot, obviously. And ecstasy. I liked that better than the others (giggles). I didn’t drink on it, so I was just chilling. It’s something that a lot of people experience when they’re in college.

Rehab is “a joke:” I’ve been court-ordered to do it six times. I could write the book on rehab. Constantly sending me to rehab is pointless. The first few times I was court-ordered to rehab it was like a joke, like killing time.  CLICK for stuff about Michael Lohan, therapy and her sexuality…

Hip-Hop Artist Frank Ocean Admits To Loving A Man

Frank Ocean of Odd Future (one part Tyler, The Creator who says “faggot” 213 times on his solo album, Goblin) has come out in a letter/screenshot of a TextEdit document posted on his Tumblr.

Actually, we’re assuming he’s coming out as either gay or bisexual since he writes about his first love who happened to be a man. “4 summers ago, I met somebody. I was 19 years old. He was too,” the letter says.

Ocean is arguably the first notable person in hip-hop/rap to claim a place in the LBGT community (trans man Katastrophe could fight for that title).  Continue reading “Hip-Hop Artist Frank Ocean Admits To Loving A Man”
