How Will Gwen Stefani Match up Against Other ‘Voice’ Judges?

I’ve been watching a lot of Gwen Stefani interviews today to see what exact kind of personality we’re looking at, and so far I’ve learned that she stays in touch with Madonna, once wanted a pet monkey and continues to describe her husband as “hot” years after their wedding.

Like former female The Voice coaches Shakira and Christina Aguilera, Stefani is a super proud blond giver of birth who calls motherhood “the best thing that’s ever happened” in her life.

She’s adorably Californian, knows she’s fabulous, and will likely vibe well with fellow blond beauty/sourpuss Adam Levine and new token-black-guy-judge Pharrell (who is half to blame for the spelling lesson in “Hollaback Girl”). Sharapova Calls Serena Williams a Homewrecker

Serena Williams Maria Sharpova rivalryToday during a Wimbledon press conference, tennis pro Maria Sharapova responded to seething comments Serena Williams made about her in an interview with Rolling Stone.

Besides minimizing a rape victim’s plight and then denying it later (her exact words on the 16-year-old Steubenville victim were “why was she that drunk where she doesn’t remember?”), Williams talked about an anonymous fellow female player who is is boring and uncool because she starts every sentence with “I’m so happy, I’m so lucky.”

Yeah, that’s definitely Sharapova. God forbid she be cheery and not tell line judges to shove balls down their throats or constantly remind reporters (a.k.a. the world) that nobody can defeat her but herself.

Williams also made mention of the player’s boyfriend having a “black heart.” Talk about glass houses. Let me break it down. Serena is mad because Sharapova is dating her ex, Grigor Dimitrov.  Continue reading “Sharapova Calls Serena Williams a Homewrecker”

Gabby Douglas’ Gym ‘Friends’ Respond To Bullying Remarks

16-year-old Gabby Douglas may be a double gold medalist in gymnastics, but we all know the road leading to her explosive performances at the London Olympics couldn’t have been easy.

Her mother, Natalie Hawkins, filed for bankruptcy earlier this year, a few years after Gabby had moved away from her friends and family in Virginia to train in Iowa alongside Shawn Johnson.

Turns out, her reasons for moving might have been partially related to the toxic environment at her former gym.

“One of my teammates was like, ‘Can you scrape the bar?’ And they were like, ‘Why doesn’t Gabby do it, she’s our slave?'” Douglas told Oprah in a new interview on OWN’s Next Chapter.  Continue reading “Gabby Douglas’ Gym ‘Friends’ Respond To Bullying Remarks”
