PRICELESS: Jennifer Lawrence Meets Jeff Bridges

Jennifer Lawrence Jeff BridgesEvery woman’s imaginary BFF Jennifer Lawrence met “The Dude” at Comic-Con and, like her encounters with Sarah Jessica Parker and Jack Nicholson, it was every bit as spectacular as you’d expect.

Lawrence spotted Bridges a short distance away from where she was talking to Extra about The Hunger Games and ran over to him, then ran away, then ran back to him and was handed the microphone by whoever was interviewing him about his new movie, R.I.P.D.

Lawrence could not stop smiling. Or apologizing. Skip the boring stuff until you hit 2:30 and WATCH…

“I’m such a huge fan, oh my god, I’m so sorry. Sorry good to see you I’m so sorry for interrupting. There are cameras everywhere… What was your favorite movie that you’ve ever done?” …Adorable.

San Diego Comic Con Post!

Comic Con is a wonderfully weird place.  It’s where nerds go to shine, to bask in all their comic book, superhero, video game glory.  It’s smelly, it’s filled with ridiculous costumes, and it’s packed wall to wall with hoards of people.  I attended for my first time this past weekend, and it was fucking awesome.

Also, it will hereby be referred to as “The Con.”

Held in downtown Whale’s Vagina San Diego, The Con started out as one of the original comic book conventions and overtime evolved to a world-renowned, massive pop culture event complete with celebrities, news cameras, after parties and (a nerd can only hope) a handjob from a girl in a Xena costume.

Trailer: The Walking Dead Season 4

I have a slightly love/hate relationship with The Walking Dead. Not to the extent that I do Glee or The Newsroom, two shows that I continue to watch and have no idea why, but with TWD my expectations are high and my thought process is like:

“Derp. This season is just okay, oh wait, it’s good again!”

“Are they ever going to find that little girl?”
Michonne and Maggie
“Why doesn’t anyone kill The Governor when they have the chance?”  Continue reading “Trailer: The Walking Dead Season 4”

Best Cosplay From New York Comic-Con 2012

The best cosplay winner at Comic-Con San Diego in july had to be the female Marios and male Princess Peaches and now, at New York Comic-Con 2012, it’s male Wonder Woman aka “Wonder WoBear.”

Check that out and many more bizarre and intricate costumes of NYCC. Let me know which is your favorite in the comments section. (I’m guessing that Mr. T and the Khaleesi may get a lot of votes.)

Comic-Con San Diego goes from July 12 to 15, 2012 and as usual, it’s full of celebrities and cosplayers. One is the lowest form of escapism, one the highest. You guess.

Here we see a ton of Batman, Captain America, Thor and Star Wars costumes plus transgendered Princess Peach and more. Can’t beat that.  Continue reading “The Best Cosplay At Comic-Con 2012”

Machete AND Sin City Sequels, Coming Your Way

At this year’s Comic-Con in San Diego, Robert Rodriguez officially confirmed funding and titles for Machete and Sin City sequels.

A Sin City sequel has been rumored since the original movie’s release in 2005 while another Machete film was a lesser known topic. Rodriguez told the public that both movies had funding and that he’d like to start filming Sin City 2: A Damn To Kill For in the fall and is looking to included members of the original cast.

Cosplay NERDS Lip-syncing to P!nk

Last month, at London’s annual comic-con event at Earls Court Exhibition Centre, a bunch of costume-wearing, comic book-reading, video-game playing hobos got together and lip-synced to Pink’s “Raise Your Glass.”

Watch, Malfoy, The Joker, Black Cat (Spiderman), Wolfenstein Zombies, Jack Sparrow, Baby Doll (Sucker Punch), Batgirl and Spiderman, plus more…

I think Pink would be proud, but this is pretty embarrassing to watch.

Why so serious? I’m not, I’m laughing with my eyes dude, get it right.

This guy REALLY Likes Halo

*
July 25th 2011, on the surprisingly educational/entertaining History Channel show Pawn Stars, a man brought in a custom-made master chief suit and model assault rifle from the video game Halo.

The man, Ian, asked a mere $2,000 for the extravagantly nerdy item but that turd son of the Vegas-based Gold And Silver Pawn Shop owner Rick, Corey Harrison aka “Big Hoss,” wouldn’t give the poor man more than $200, originally offering a measly $100.
