Ellie Goulding And Taylor Swift Are Getting Drunk Together While Everyone Else Drinks Tea

Ellie Goulding Taylor Swift Selena Gomez HaimDancing Man fan Ellie Goulding (really loving “Outside” and “Heavy Crown” right now), Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez and members of the indie/rock group Haim had an epic all-celebrity girl tea party today, except someone wasn’t drinking tea.

Two someones, actually…

As you can see, Ellie and bestie/Taylor Swift, giggling in the corner and mowing down on some alcohol.

I wonder how Coke would feel about Taylor enjoying rum with their product?

Ellie Goulding Rumored as X Factor UK Judge

Ellie Goulding Divergent premierePlease let it be true! Adorable British songstress Ellie Goulding might just be a judge on X Factor alongside Simon Cowell (returning to the original British version for the first time in three years) and Cheryl Cole (also after a lengthy absence).

Longtime third judge Louis Walsh told The Sun that he’s “heard” that Goulding is a contender, though other Sun sources remind us that Walsh is not at all involved in who ultimately snags the gig.

Goulding, who has been busy touring for Halcyon and its expansion, Halcyon Days, has become the go-to girl for recording new songs for big budget, teen box office favorites like Twilight (“Bittersweet”), The Hunger Games (“Mirror”), AND Divergent (“Beating Heart”).

Video: Ellie Goulding Brings “Burn” To Ellen

My favorite British songstress has been a busy bee this week, performing “Roar” onstage with Katy Perry and Tegan & Sara at the Hollywood Bowl and visiting The Ellen Degeneres Show to sing her Halcyon Days single “Burn” and talk about all her boyfriends (and her conflicting obsession with cats).  Continue reading “Video: Ellie Goulding Brings “Burn” To Ellen”

Video: Taylor Swift and Ellie Goulding Perform “Anything Could Happen”

My friend and I were talking last night about about the VMAs and I mentioned Ellie Goulding, telling him that I love her more than ever because of Halcyon Days. (It’s all about “Midas Touch” and “Flashlight”)…

Me: The new songs uhhh so good!
Him: You two should have lesbo kids!
Me: I would totally have lesbo kids with her any day any time
Him: P (:)
Me: I’ll throw her in a burlap sack full of crumpets
Him: Laaaaybia
Me: And impregnate her with copies of Downton Abbey

So, bad British stereotypes aside, Ellie was weirdly not asked to perform at the VMAs because she’s just too talented for Miley’s steamy foam herpes finger. (Fortunately “twerk” was added to the dictionary and it’s a great Scrabble word.) BUT there is this pre-VMA video of Taylor Swift and her at Staples Center.

Swifty introduced Goulding as one of her “favorite” artists and also her friend. Awwwww.

Video: Ellie Goulding – “Burn”

Like Nicki Minaj, Amanda Palmer, Lady Gaga and so many other generationally “smart” current names in rock and pop, British-born Ellie Goulding is all about fan participation.

Before the release of her new video for “Burn,” Goulding, currently touring in North America with Bruno Mars, invited fans to send in Vine clips of them showing love for close friends with the hashtag #ellieburnvine, many of which made it into a separate video made to get them ready for the official one.

No word on whether or not “Burn” or her previously unreleased Halcyon track “You, My Everything” (from Skins Fire) will make it onto her Moonshine Jungle Tour setlist.

Video: Calvin Harris – “I Need Your Love” Feat. Ellie Goulding

If Ellie Goulding and Calvin Harris think I love them enough to forgive “I Need Your Love” being just like Pam and Tommy’s stolen honeymoon video with all the good parts cut out, they’d be right.

Did I tell you about the Goulding/Mars tickets I bought? In the future, remind me to avoid a website called ticketbenz.com. My fault for using Google and not going directly to the venue’s page, but whatever.

Video: Ellie Goulding – “Explosions”

I usually think of concert footage incorporation in music videos as a lazy cop-out excuse to not be creative, BUT I love Ellie Goulding too much to spew anything but praise in the case of “Explosions.”

Still not sure why she doesn’t encourage security to push people onstage so she can shave the sides of their heads and make hair voodoo dolls modeled after the Rolling Stone writer who failed to included Halcyon on the 50 Best Albums of 2012 list.  Continue reading “Video: Ellie Goulding – “Explosions””

Video: Ellie Goulding – “Anything Could Happen”

Ellie Goulding lays around in mysterious wreckage on the beach in her new video and there are balls everywhere. Floating metal balls.

“Anything Could Happen” is off Goulding’s second highly anticipated album, Halcyon, and is technically the second single after “Hanging On,” which was probably not chosen as lead radio-friendly track because of Tinie Tempah’s song-ruining verse.  Continue reading “Video: Ellie Goulding – “Anything Could Happen””

Video: Ellie Goulding – “Hanging On” Feat. Tinie Tempah

You know that lady who bumps shaved heads with Skrillex (Ellie Goulding) whose song (“Lights”) you like? Yeah, the one thats’s from an album released in 2010.

Well, she has a NEW song, an actual new song. Not like that really good one that you Americans slowly drifted towards in recent months like slugs towards beer.  Continue reading “Video: Ellie Goulding – “Hanging On” Feat. Tinie Tempah”
