Jennifer Lawrence ‘Too Famous’ For Love

Jennifer Lawrence and long-term British hubby Nicholas Hoult reportedly broke up because Lawrence is “in love with fame” and has an “exploded ego.”

I know explosive diarrhea goes away after a few hours and some form of hydration, but what’s the cure for an exploded ego?

I figure you make the subject churn butter with the Amish, or sing with nuns to remind them what it’s like to be a regular, non-recognized person, but if there’s anyone in Hollywood who seems to not need a course in being down-to-earth, it’s Jennifer Lawrence.

According to Celebrity Fix, fame-hating Hoult is now interested in indie starlet Riley Keough because his ex is just too good at her job A-list.  Continue reading “Jennifer Lawrence ‘Too Famous’ For Love”

Emma Watson Talks To W About ‘The Bling Ring,’ Fame and Sex Appeal

Emma Watson W 2013 Inside the June/July issue of W Magazine, Emma Watson discusses her upcoming film and her past, before and right after scoring Harry Potter. And on The Bling Ring, Watson said, in the most demure way possible, that she was actually too classy to understand why her character would want people to see her bra.

In related news, Emma told reporters at Cannes that she watched “a lot of ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians and ‘The Hills,’” to understand the psychology of Nicki/Alexis Neiers. She added that she “thought a lot about what her parents must have been like.”

I find this weird because Pretty Wild (with the real-life Alexis Neiers and her mother) is on Netflix streaming.

(Maybe she’s not allowed to say that was her real point of reference for legal reasons?) The dynamic between Kris Jenner and Kim Kardashian is not exactly the same. Just watch. You’ll see.  Continue reading “Emma Watson Talks To W About ‘The Bling Ring,’ Fame and Sex Appeal”

Sean Penn’s Right, I Am Diseased

Sean Penn has a new movie not yet out in wide release called This Must Be The Place. He plays a Robert Smith-inspired rock star who has left his life in the spotlight and ends up hunting down his father’s murderer, a former Nazi.

This Must Be The Place debuted at Sundance quite recently and Penn did an interview in Utah explaining his own disgust for fame and America’s obsession with it.

“I don’t think it’s an overstatement to say that it’s an obscene disease of celebrity that’s taken over far too much of the life that we do live. I think it’s a disease. I think that it’s diminished the quality of life.”

“Not particularly for the people who are the focus of it, though that is clearly something that I’ve been compromised by. But for the culture at large.” Continue reading “Sean Penn’s Right, I Am Diseased”
