Latin Hottie Naya Rivera is Dying to be on the Radio

Naya Rivera RollingstoneGlee’s Naya Rivera is the hottest Latin girl, according to Rolling Stone, who put Naya on the flipside of November’s Lou Reed tribute issue.

Super bendy gumby woman from Glee tells RS that she hates going to sleep without her engagement ring from Big Sean (“My finger just feels naked”) and expresses her dreams of becoming a big hit on the radio once her debut album is released in 2014.

“Get on or get off. I think this is a summer song, and I want it on the radio by the end of the summer,” Rivera says of her label’s handling of the single  “Sorry” featuring Big Sean, which just got a lyric video.

Nothing against her voice or legs or anything (best character on Glee by far) but she seems like someone who will have a sex tape in about… oh, I dunno, three months? People that in love are always careless with their personal videos.

Demi Lovato Playing Santana’s Love Interest on ‘Glee’

Demi Lovato Naya Rivera kissI suppose Naya Rivera and Demi Lovato have little in common besides being famous Latina women with strange names, but during season 5 of Glee they will share a duet, a dance and probably even a kiss.

It was confirmed last Sunday by Rivera that the 21-year-old “Heart Attack” singer will be playing her struggling artist girlfriend. “She’s playing my love interest so I’m very, very excited about that,” she said.

Does anyone watch Glee for any other reason than Santana at this point? She’s the best singer with the best lines but I fear her career will end after the show because movie and TV casting directors are idiots.

I’m STILL obsessed with her and Amber Riley doing Adele + Brandy and Monica.

‘Glee’ Fans Will Mourn the Death of Finn Hudson in Fall of 2013

Finn hudson GleeGlee, [American Horror Story, Nip/Tuck and The New Normal] creator Ryan Murphy recently told E! News what his last conversation with Cory Monteith, who played Finn Hudson on the popular musical show and died of a heroin overdose last week, related to.

Unsurprisingly, it had to do with drugs, his job and a general unified concern for his life. Murphy was well aware of Monteith’s problem both past and present and discussed his reliance on narcotics.

“He wanted to continue working and we said, ‘That’s not an option. No. The TV show doesn’t matter, your life matters,'” Murphy said of the 31-year-old he described as “an older son.”

“His last words to me were, “I want to get better,” the Glee showrunner continued. “I always felt and continue to feel even in his death that he did, that he really wanted to fight it and he was humiliated and shamed.”

Cory Monteith Died of a Heroin and Alcohol-Related Drug Overdose

Cory Monteith drumsA coroner in British Columbia confirmed earlier this week that 31-year-old Glee star Cory Monteith’s death was caused by a lethal dose of heroin mixed with alcohol on Saturday.

“It should be noted that at this point there is no evidence to suggest Mr. Monteith’s death was anything other than a most-tragic accident,” Canadian authorities said in a press conference.

The police explained that “there were indications in the room that this was a drug overdose,” and while they didn’t specify what those indications were, it’s probably safe to assume that, since it was heroin, there were either needles or some kind of foil and/or pipe discovered in his hotel room.

His co-star Jane Lynch said the following kind words about Monteith while visiting The Tonight Show:

“Cory’s one of the biggest hearts, was a real bright light. He was one of those guys that … he knew he was breathing rarified air. The gifts that this wonderful show gave us … He was always aware that it was a gift and he was quite generous. He was one of those adventurous types of people.”  Continue reading “Cory Monteith Died of a Heroin and Alcohol-Related Drug Overdose”

‘Glee’ Star Cory Monteith Found Dead

Cory Monteith black and whiteAuthorities in Canada have confirmed that Glee star Cory Monteith died today in his hotel room.

Employees at the Fairmont Pacific Rim Hotel in Vancouver discovered his body on Saturday night after he didn’t check out at the expected time.

Staff found him alone after reportedly going out with friends, and police have issued a statement that foul play is not suspected.

Monteith, age 31, was the longtime boyfriend of his Glee co-star Lea Michele. Besides his famous role as smooth-voiced Finn Hudson, he appeared in the MTV series Kaya and the 2011 movie Monte Carlo with Selena Gomez.

Many speculate that the cause of death was a drug overdose due to his recent stint in rehab. In one notable interview, the actor admitted that he did “anything and everything, as much as possible.”

Lea Michele Not Planning on Dumping Cory Monteith While He’s in Rehab

Lea Michele Cory Monteith dinnerKind and generous soul Lea Michele has decided not to kick boyfriend Cory Monteith to the curb after he checked himself into rehab for substance abuse.

“I love and support Cory and will stand by him through this,” she says, as if she were the wife of a politician who cheated on her with an underage Thai boy. “I am grateful and proud he made this decision.”

Monteith first entered rehab when he was 19 and has described himself as a heavy drinker since age 13 who did “every and any drug” he could get his hands on.

You know those awful people who hate Anne Hathaway for no reason besides that she’s too “actressy?” I may feel that way about Lea Michele, and I don’t want to.  Continue reading “Lea Michele Not Planning on Dumping Cory Monteith While He’s in Rehab”

Ryan Murphy and the Cast of ‘Glee’ Pour Cheez Whiz all Over Patrick Swayze’s Grave

Glee pottery sceneRyan Murphy has done some great things in his life.

I could make a case for Nip/Tuck and the first season of American Horror Story, but he’s also busted out some ultra steamy broccoli turds like Eat Pray Love.

I pity anyone who’s still holding onto the memory of Glee being a well-written show about misfits who occasionally burst into song.

Sometime after the second season, Murphy decided to focus less on the pithy dialogue, and give everyone’s all-time favorite character Sue Sylvester LESS screen time in favor of MORE singing.

Of the many reachy attempts to appeal to the audience (e.g. covering every popular song on the radio including viral hits like Psy’s highly unsingable “Gangnam Style”), the reenactment of the pottery scene from Ghost has to be the worst.  Continue reading “Ryan Murphy and the Cast of ‘Glee’ Pour Cheez Whiz all Over Patrick Swayze’s Grave”

Perez Hilton Says Lindsay Lohan Was ‘Over Four Hours Late’ To Work On ‘Glee’

Perez Hilton dropped by Howard Stern‘s radio show to talk about his off-Broadway play NEWSical The Musical where he brought up Lindsay Lohan, who he worked with in the season three “Nationals” episode of Glee.

Producers (and the actress who plays Coach Beiste) were so frustrated with Lohan’s beyond-casual approach to work that they refused to call her by her name, referring to her as “that girl” (as in “that girl is making us late again”).

Even after being specifically notified by director Eric Stoltz to memorize all her lines “off-book,” Lindsay still had to be repeatedly reminded. Hilton also said that an extra day of filming was added due to her behavior.

New Movie ‘Pitch Perfect’ Is Season One Of ‘Glee,’ But With Famous People

Universal’s Pitch Perfect starring Anna Kendrick, Elizabeth Banks, Brittany Snow, Anna Camp, and Rebel Wilson is being marketed as a slightly more adult version of Glee.

Pitch Perfect has cast known a few known B and C list actresses, whereas Glee featured unknowns that were made famous by the show. Studios with hopes for high box office numbers obviously has no time for such things.

Note the scene where redheaded Brittany Snow catches Anna Kendrick singing in the shower, it’s just like when Mr. Schuester hears Finn harmonizing REO Speedwagon’s “Can’t Fight This Feeling” in the locker room.

Three Of The “Kids” On Glee Are 30 Years Old

In a list of actors 25 and older who have played high schoolers not one but three members of the Glee cast were offenders. Maybe it is good that most of them are graduating. Gotta make room for new forehead wrinkles.

Cory Monteith (Finn) turned 30 on May 11 while co-stars Harry Shum Jr. (Mike Chang) did the same on April 28. Mark Salling (Puck) turns 30 in August. So I cheated a bit on the headline, in the words of Fred Armisen as Joy Behar – SO WHAT.  Continue reading “Three Of The “Kids” On Glee Are 30 Years Old”

Gotye Unhappy With Glee’s ‘Somebody That I Used To Know’ Cover

Australian singer Gotye, whose single “Somebody That I Used To Know” featuring Kimbra went number one in 19 countries, is not happy with the Glee version of his song.

Since Glee has to obtain licenses for music, it’s a little hard to understand what he’s upset about. Was he expecting his voice-clone, Sting, to guest star and cover the song? In that case, I’m sure Darren Criss and Matt Bomer were quite a disappointment.

Gotye (Go-Tee-A) told Courier Mail:

“They did such a faithful arrangement of the instrumentals, but the vocals were that pop Gleestyle, ultra dry, [It] sounded pretty tuned and the rock has no real sense, like it’s playing to you from a cardboard box.”

Nooo! Not Heather Morris Too! (NSFW)

Hopefully you have no problems separating Heather Morris‘ teenage Glee age from her real age (25) because Morris, like SO many young cell-obsessed actors/actresses will now be suffering from web embarrassment for at least a few weeks.

In the footsteps of Blake Lively, Scarlett Johansson, Pete Wentz, Kat Dennings, Travis Barker and many others, TV’s Brittany S. Pierce is, like the woman she portrayed so well in season two of the hit Fox show, not that innocent.

Unlike the recent Olivia Munn and Christina Hendricks leak, these photos are as real as Peter Jackson’s stomach.

The authenticity is in the “I’m A Slave For 4 U” getup. There’s just one thing, I’m having a hard time with. THIS picture, what is that? It’s like a very naughty drawing by one of those shitty caricature artists that operate at fairs/by the shore, specializing in exaggeration.  Continue reading “Nooo! Not Heather Morris Too! (NSFW)”

Did Quinn Fabray Just Die? (*Spoilers*)

Tuesday’s ‘winter finale’ of Glee aired answering little and leaving us with added questions about a key character, Quinn Fabray, they school’s former Sandra Dee/once-pregnant cheerleader.

At the close of the episode titled “On My Way,” Quinn (Dianna Agron) was seen driving to Rachel and Finn’s wedding while texting and driving and carelessly flies past a pickup truck pulling out of a driveway which sideswipes her.

That’s where we are left anyway. There had been hints of a big change on Glee and towards the beginning it seemed the closeted bully character Karofsky (Max Adler) might be a casualty after a suicide attempt landed him in the hospital.

Glee’s Whitney Houston Coincidence And Chaka Khan’s Unfiltered Memory

Chances are you’re sick of Whitney Houston coverage, hear me out though, not because you don’t love her and her legacy but because people go overboard analyzing and picking apart the situation.

Half of what you see is love and respect and the other half is the media capitalizing on that, which tends to negate everything. My favorite interview so far was Piers Morgan’s sit down with Chaka Khan especially when she mentioned the insanity (and stupidity) of the Clive Davis party. Themed Photo Shoots With ‘American Horror Story’ And ‘Glee’ Stars

Elle’s February 2012 issue tosses the stars of Ryan Murphy’s hit shows Glee and American Horror Story into one fantastic bowl of kitsch.

Taissa Farmiga, Kate Mara, Sarah Paulson and Connie Britton represent AHS while Lea Michele, Jayma Mays, Heather Morris, Diana Agron and Naya Rivera wave the Glee banner, though most of them are unrecognizably drenched in hair and makeup.

Glee’s Meshes Adele’s ‘Rumour Has It’ & ‘Someone Like You’

I’ve been pisses off with Ryan Murphy’s Glee since it lost its bitchiness and minimized Sue Sylvester (Jane Lynch) into a minor side character who pops up every three episodes then vanishes just as quickly.

There have been a few brief reasons to still watch the show, though honestly it’s become like a CD with only two good songs on it. Tuesday’s “Mash Off,” (season three, episode six) was one of those times.  Continue reading “Glee’s Meshes Adele’s ‘Rumour Has It’ & ‘Someone Like You’”
