Jack White Randomly Goes off on Black Keys Frontman, Ex-Wife Files Restraining Order

Karen Elson and Jack WhiteKaren Elson, the model and musician Jack White divorced in 2011, filed a restraining order against The White Stripes and Third Man Records founder claiming he has harassed and bullied her.

In one email provided to a lawyer as proof, White goes off on Black Keys’ lead singer Dan Auerbach. I figured he was the wife’s new boyfriend and Jack was jealous and trying to keep his two kids from bonding with him, but that is not the case. Jack is just pulling a Gallagher, saying he doesn’t want his kids going to the same school as Auerbach’s because Auerbach is a pretentious poseur.

my concern with auerbach is because i don’t want the kids involved in any of that crap. you aren’t thining ahead. that’s a possible twelve fucking years i’mg going to have to be sitting in kids chairs next to that asshole with other people trying to lump us in together. he gets freee reign to follow me around and copy me and push himself into my world.  Continue reading “Jack White Randomly Goes off on Black Keys Frontman, Ex-Wife Files Restraining Order”

Meg White Wasn’t Very Happy About Anything When She Was in The White Stripes

Jack and Meg White boredRegardless of Jack White’s excellent work as a solo artist or with The Raconteurs and The Dead Weather, his most recognizable and perhaps most loved music was always made with Meg White.

As you can see in this, and any other photo of The White Stripes, ex-wife/drummer Meg White isn’t exactly a ball joy and enthusiasm. Jack White confirms the extent of Meg’s Daria-ness in an interview with Esquire.

“In The White Stripes, it was impossible to share the good moments with Meg because she was very uninterested. If something nice happened, it wasn’t like we would hug or have a drink. That wasn’t what went on.”  Continue reading “Meg White Wasn’t Very Happy About Anything When She Was in The White Stripes”

Video: Danger Mouse & Daniele Luppi – “Two Against One” Feat. Jack White

If you’re missing The White Stripes and/or Broken Bells and you’re into well-orchestrated Italian string music, you’ve come to the right place! Since you’ve probably never heard of Daniele Luppi, you can assume he’s responsible for the orchestra sounds.

Modest Mouse of Broken Bells and Gnarls Barkley worked with Luppi to arrange the music while Jack White sings the blues. It’s a great paranoia song, and video. Animation is never a sure bet but this seems to flow quite well with the welcomed, floaty repetition.

Jack White Collaborated With ICP??!

I think this is a joke, this is a joke right? Well joke or not, Jack White and white-boy cult favorites Insane Clown Posse have teamed up for a song. It will be available to purchase on Jack White’s label, Third Man Records on September 13th.

OR you could just listen to the song, and decide, like I did, that it is the most unusual and unnecessary combination of people EVER since Eminem and Elton John shared a stage at the Grammys.

Not only is it produced by Jack White with ICP “rapping” it’s Jack White + an ICP Rap + rock-duo JEFF The Brotherhood + a Mozart melody?
