Funny Video: Sh*t Girls Say To Gay Guys Part Two

Best part of the new sequel to “Shit Girls Say To Gay Guys” by and starring YouTube user Soundly Awake aka Nick Foti: when he sings “On My Own” from Les Miserables.

I’m guilty of saying at least two of these phrases to my poor “gay husband” Alejandro, but to be fair, he’s the one who says I’m a gay man disguised as a woman (because of my Calvin Harris obsession).

Newark Mayor Cory Booker Stopped Hating Gays in 1992 (Naturally, Everyone Now Thinks He’s Gay)

Cory Booker gayAn opinion piece from the Stanford Daily’s archives reveals that Newark, New Jersey mayor and potential senator Cory Booker’s gay college counselor cured his homophobia.

In 1992, Booker wrote that he was “disgusted by gays” until a Stanford therapist shared his life story and the stories of the physical attacks and verbal condemnations of others like him.

It was chilling to find that so much of the testimony he shared with me was almost identical to stories my grandparents told me about growing up Black.

Hip-Hop Artist Frank Ocean Admits To Loving A Man

Frank Ocean of Odd Future (one part Tyler, The Creator who says “faggot” 213 times on his solo album, Goblin) has come out in a letter/screenshot of a TextEdit document posted on his Tumblr.

Actually, we’re assuming he’s coming out as either gay or bisexual since he writes about his first love who happened to be a man. “4 summers ago, I met somebody. I was 19 years old. He was too,” the letter says.

Ocean is arguably the first notable person in hip-hop/rap to claim a place in the LBGT community (trans man Katastrophe could fight for that title).  Continue reading “Hip-Hop Artist Frank Ocean Admits To Loving A Man”

Transgendered Woman Allowed In Miss Universe Pageant

A promising day in LBGT history was made when Miss Universe president Paula Shugart and contest co-owner Donald Trump allowed Jenna Talackova, a post-op transgendered Canadian woman, to enter the pageant.

GLAAD petitioned hard for the woman to be allowed to compete and for her case to be reviewed, after she was disqualified last month due to a rule that entrees must be born women. Shugart says:

“We want to give credit where credit is due, and the decision to include transgender women in our beauty competitions is a result of our ongoing discussions with GLAAD. We have a long history of supporting equality for all women, and this was something we took very seriously.”   Continue reading “Transgendered Woman Allowed In Miss Universe Pageant”

Kelly Osbourne Wants To Retire The Word ‘Tranny’

Kelly Osbourne did an interview with Glamour UK about three weeks ago where she expressed anger at her ex-fiance Luke Worrall for cheating on her with a pre-op transgender (pictured left). The comments were as follows:

“Everyone kept telling me that Luke was cheating on me, but I never believed them. It’s hard enough to get your head around someone cheating on you, but when someone is a chick with a dick? Up until then, I’d always thought that the worst way to get cheated on would be with an ugly girl. Don’t you think?”
