The song is from the box set Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded – The Re-Up, which is an expansion of a reissue, I guess? (At some point, you have to name your album something other than Pink Friday.)
On Friday, TMZ made mention of [what we now know was] a very real seizure that sent Dwayne “Lil’ Wayne” Carter to the hospital, mixed with unreliable Enquirer-esque info about him entering a medically-induced coma and being read his “last rites.” The seizure, which is not Lil’ Wayne’s first, was reportedly caused by some sort of sizzurp binge.
Sizzurp (aka syrup, aka “the drank”) being a mixture of promethazine and codeine, often prescribed to those with ultra phlegm-y pneumonia.
People from Carter’s record label seemed outraged by the claims that their friend and business partner was on the verge of death. So, they’re either in denial or rightfully pissed at the false allegations. (As of yesterday night, TMZ continued to post updates about his mother flying to the L.A. to decide whether or not to keep him on life support in the ICU.) “You learn from what the right-wing is doing and you take something from it…I feel like as a people the most that we can do is better ourselves and learn. Then look at yourself and ask ‘Am I the person they’re talking about or am I not?’
“You have to make the most of who you are because the Republicans are never going to like us.”

Lil’ Wayne‘s been at it since the late 90’s when he was 15 and in the rap group The Hot Boys. He a classic example of a musical workaholic, he needs the spotlight like Lindsay needs a fifth. It comes as no surprise that his latest Tha Carter IV was announced for release out of nowhere, when fans had not been expecting it for months.
The album was meant to come out at midnight, tonight after the MTV Video Music Awards, but was leaked onto various torrent websites a few days ago. Fortunately (or unfortunately) Weezy is no stranger to leaks, he’s been a favorite target for internet pirates since Tha Carter III, and everything in between…
August 29, 2011, the day after the VMAs, at midnight, is the official release date for the much anticipated Lil’ Wayne album Tha Carter IV. Tha Carter IV, which was delayed by Weezy’s eight month stint in jail, will be available digitally after the MTV Video Music Awards, which he is also slated to perform at.
Lil’ Wayne, a notorious workaholic, has been extra busy lately, he released a mixtape on July 13th humorously titled Sorry 4 The Wait (In reference to Tha Carter 4/IV) AND he’s officially announced a collaboration album with fellow Cash/Young Money signee Drake.
He said in a press statement on his surprise album release,
“I am extremely excited to be the first artist to utilize such an amazing idea. I hope that I can open the door for others.”
August 15th, a new track from Game (formerly The Game) was leaked onto YouTube. The song, “Martians Vs. Goblins,” from his upcoming R.E.D Album has guest vocals from Lil’ Wayne and Tyler, The Creator.
The song disses several major names in the business including Rihanna (something about snatching her up and throwing her “in front of a fuckin’ train?”)
And Bruno Mars, dissed by Tyler, The Creator for “Sucking dick and fucking male butts in the same closet where Tyler Perry gets his clothes from.”
And Miami Heat star LeBron James, dissed by Tyler, “Fall back like Lebron’s hairline against the Mavericks” and Game, who mentions boning Lebron’s mother while Delonte West (former LeBron/Cavaliers teammate) videotapes it?
