Silva Breaks Leg on Weidman in Historical UFC Bout

Silva broken leg UFC 168 just concluded with overconfident bastard Anderson Silva breaking his leg after an attempted kick on Chris Weidman in their much-anticipated rematch.

Miesha Tate also made history by taking Ronda Rousey to the third round.

Sad day for Taterade drinkers, she still lost to a vicious armbar after squirming out of several dangerous ground situations like Houdini, but with braids and a shovelface.

Back to Silva… During the second round, Silva raised his leg in an attempt to thwack Weidman, which seemed like nothing until he fell on the ground screaming and a replay showed his leg completely bending away from his ankle.

It is unlikely that Silva will ever fight again, as the recovery rate on this kind of injury is zilch point one.

Ronda Rousey Testing Acting Waters With ‘Expendables’ and ‘Fast & Furious’ Franchises

Ronda Rousey showtime fight posePowerhouse judo expert Ronda Rousey has a confirmed, reportedly NOT-small role in The Expendables 3 and another possible job in Fast and Furious 7, but has no plans to slow down her training for filming.

“I’m leaving soon, and I’m very fortunate that there’s going to be Victor Ortiz and Randy Couture and other fighter-type people there, and I’m going to be able to have my camp come and do everything, so I’m not going to break training for it at all,” Rousey told MMAjunkie.

The women’s UFC champ (7-0), scheduled to defend her title from fellow The Ultimate Fighter coach Miesha Tate in late December, joins the likes of wrestlers and MMA fighters turned-actors like “Rowdy” Roddy Piper, Hulk Hogan, The Rock, Randy Couture, Oleg Taktarov and Gina Carano, who appeared in the prior Fast & Furious installment.

How do you think she’ll do? (It’s not her fault that both franchises are unoriginal piles of caca.)

UFC Wonderman Anderson Silva Finally Lost a Fight, Was it Fixed?

Anderson Silva knockoutSo I don’t normally watch men’s MMA matches at all and only recently started getting into women’s MMA because of Ronda Rousey and Gina Carano and Cris Cyborg etc., BUT I heard about Anderson Silva losing his first fight since 2006 against Chris Weidman and that a few people thought the fight was fixed because of the way Silva went down after a few strikes to the face.

While it was weird that he hunched over after one light hit prior to the knockout and just plain stupid how much he seemed to underestimate and not respect his opponent, his eyes did “just roll back into his head,” as Dana White put it. Seems like a hard thing to fake. Maybe?  Continue reading “UFC Wonderman Anderson Silva Finally Lost a Fight, Was it Fixed?”
