Chelsea Gets Nude in the Shower with Ellen

Ellen chelsea showerChelsea Handler is making a big, well-publicized move from E! to Netflix for a reported $10 million.

For her final sendoff on E! Chelsea displayed ultimate raunch levels during a more hit-than-miss shower scene with Ellen DeGeneres where Ellen wonders why she’s never been asked to appear on the show and Chelsea pretends to not know Ellen’s sexual orientation while bouncing up and down naked in front of a million cameras like a porn star without the risk of infection.

Later, Jennifer Aniston, Sandra Bullock and 50 Cent appeared along with Miley, Selena Gomez and Gwen Stefani for an intervention and some live music, because what’s more likely to get ratings than awkward nudity and oodles of celebrities? Orange is the New Black to Return June 6!

Awesome news to any and all who miss the amazingly lesbocentric and oddly heartwarming comedy about creepy prison guards and the women they terrorize -your favorite show to binge-watch Orange is the New Black, returns June 6.

More post-Valentine’s cheer from the OITNB tree, not only is ’90s darling Lori Petty (do I even need to utter the words “There’s no crying in baseball”?), but Netflix has released a season two teaser. It’s under 20 seconds and reveals absolutely nothing in terms of plot, but on the bright side, there’s probably more to come.

Random fact learned while Googling the show: Uzo Aduba was a figure skater for 10 years. Picture Crazy Eyes dancing on ice and tell me I didn’t just blow your mind. Continue reading “Orange is the New Black to Return June 6!”

‘Pretty Little Liars’ May Or May Not Be My New Favorite Show

I don’t wanna sound like a queer or nothin’ (Orgazmo quote, look it up) but I am really addicted to Pretty Little Liars.

It just kind of happened. One day I’m making fun of the promos, the next I’m gobbling up several back episodes a night on Netflix. It’s about these girls who were friends with this really awful chick named Alison who died. Nobody knows exactly how she died or who killed her. Oh, and they get these text messages from a mysterious person named “A.”

Dear Netflix: ‘Teen Mom’ Is A Show With A Strong Female Lead?

I can justify most of the ridiculous suggestions on Netflix and have never found them obscenely offensive until now. As you can see from this screenshot of my account, MTV’s Teen Mom is under the category “TV Shows Featuring A Strong Female Lead.” (The Hills is on there too)

Netflix Retracts ‘Qwikster’ Service

In September Netflix and CEO Reed Hastings announced that Netflix would be split into two separate companies with two different websites and two passwords but are now retracting their statements about “Qwikster”on their blog.

“It is clear that for many of our members two websites would make things more difficult, so we are going to keep Netflix as one place to go for streaming and DVDs…This means no change: one website, one account, one password… in other words, no Qwikster.”

Really, Netflix? People like simplicity? What a revelation.

Netflix CEO Reed Hastings Says ‘I Messed Up’ In Mass Email

Though they were once at the top of their game, Netflix has come under a lot of scrutiny lately.

They are being criticized for raising prices significantly, losing Starz content, splitting the company into two parts (Qwikster, the new subsidiary) and generally being douchebags.

At least he’s sort of getting what he deserves, in the form of massive backlash (25,000 comments on their blog) AND a stock plummet. (Check out the 5-day stock chart, bottom left)

The most douchebaggy thing I can think of? Apologizing for something that you blatantly don’t plan on changing.

That’s exactly what Reed Hastings, Netflix co-founder and CEO, is doing.

He recently sent out a very fearful letter, apologizing for the price increase in August ($8.99 to $15.98 for streaming and DVD-by-mail) and explaining all the changes…

Netflix, Sucking More By The Hour

After a surprising price increase for DVD and streaming services (from $8.99 to $15.98) and their stock dropping rapidly, more bad news from the company has come up.

Starz has decided to separate from Netflix and because of Starz’ affiliation with Disney and Sony, this will cause around 1,000 out of Netflix’s 22,000 movies to disappear.

That includes shows like Spartacus, Party Down and Torchwood, not to mention countless movies.

This will go into effect in February 28, 2012…
