Man of Steel’s Childhood Nickname Was ‘Fat Cavill’

henry cavill as a kid fat cavillMan of Steel star Henry Cavill wasn’t always steamier than a plate of enchiladas, louder than a vibrator in the movie theater and all those other things about bullets, locomotives and tall buildings that suddenly escape my mind when I think about HIS GIANT BULGING MUSCLES and thoughtful eyes.

My nickname in school was ‘Fat Cavill,’ he told a crowd plus his co-stars, Amy Adams and Russell Crowe, on Friday, June 14 during an interview on The Graham Norton Show. “My dad always said from the age of about 13, I stayed the same weight until 25, I just got taller.”

So he went from a fatty fatty boom to a hottie hottie swoon swoon? And a millionaire? And he’s not intimidated by strong women? (He’s dating MMA-fighter-turned-actress Gina Carano.)

Whose Fans Have The Best Nickname?

Sometimes a fan is just a fan and other times, they’re, well, some god-awful name they were given or that they gave themselves.

It’s all the same kind of cancer.

Sandusky’s Gut-Wrenching Nickname, Ronald Scheffler’s Equally F-cked Mistake

A 6th victim in the Jerry Sandusky‘s trial testified on Thursday that in 1998 (when he was 11) the former Penn State coach called himself the “tickle monster” as he came towards him in a naked embrace.

68-year-old Sandusky is being charged with 52 counts of abuse over a span of 15 years, with a total of 10 victims.

Victim 6’s case is unique because it was the first investigation into Sandusky as a child molester, all of 14 years ago.

Scheffler never followed up after Sandusky admitted to showering with many children, though he did indicate to the district attorney at the time that they might have enough of a case to file charges.  Continue reading “Sandusky’s Gut-Wrenching Nickname, Ronald Scheffler’s Equally F-cked Mistake”

Scarlett Johansson Hates Her Nickname

Since her breakout role in 2003’s Lost In Translation, bloggers and random media sources have taken to calling Scarlett Johansson “ScarJo.”

Johansson is not pleased with the lackluster name, she says it’s “lazy” and “bizarre” and that her friends would never call her that.

“Oh, it’s awful. It’s a laziness. People can’t actually say the whole name? It’s just bizarre. If I hear somebody say that, I know I don’t know them at all. How come Daniel Day Lewis isn’t subjected to “like, ‘DaDay’? So Cate Blanchett is not, Continue reading “Scarlett Johansson Hates Her Nickname”
