Avril Lavigne Says Hello to Her Kitty, Offends Everyone

It’s really hard to pinpoint the exact moment that Avril Lavigne went wrong with “Hello Kitty…”

I don’t know if it’s the lyrics, her super punk side shave and cupcake skirt, the dubstep breakdown about a minute in or the sedated Asian women she’s hired to stand behind her.

While Avril defended the video calling it an ode to Japanese culture after bloggers labelled it “racist,” I find it deeply offensive for other reasons. Those reasons being:

1. Avril Lavigne is 29 years old

2. Her husband, Chad Kroeger, is 39 years old

3. The blessed union that is Avril Lavigne and Chad Kroeger wrote this song together

4. Keywords: Hello Kitty, slumber party, spin the bottle

5. Chad Kroeger is not yet listed as a registered sex offender  Continue reading “Avril Lavigne Says Hello to Her Kitty, Offends Everyone”

Video: Lily Allen – “Hard Out Here”

Praise the sweet potato Jesus, Lily Allen is back! The spicy British loudmouth rolls her eyes while getting plastic surgery reminding us all that you can find her “in the studio and not in the kitchen” in the new video for a song that very much feels like a more aggressive sequel to 2008’s “The Fear.”

The joke’s on us, as Allen peppers in some duckface, twerking, and auto-tune, but a few morons really didn’t get it, calling the video “racist” all because she’s a white women dancing with big-bootied black women. Allen had this to say to the tards who took offense:

The video is meant to be a lighthearted satirical video that deals with objectification of women within modern pop culture. It has nothing to do with race, at all.  Continue reading “Video: Lily Allen – “Hard Out Here””

UH OH… Blue-Eyed, Blonde-Haired Julianne Hough Painted Herself Brown

Julianne hough crazy eyesRyan Seacrest’s former beard Julianne Hough is in hot water over a Halloween costume that many would agree is distasteful.

Hough attended a party on Friday all made up like Crazy Eyes from Orange is the New Black and then apologized after everyone freaked out, because apparently blackface is only okay and/or funny when a good actor like Robert Downey Jr. does it.

“I am a huge fan of the show Orange is the New black, actress Uzo Aduba, and the character she has created,” Hough wrote on Twitter. “It certainly was never my intention to be disrespectful or demeaning to anyone in any way. I realize my costume hurt and offended people and I truly apologize.”  Continue reading “UH OH… Blue-Eyed, Blonde-Haired Julianne Hough Painted Herself Brown”

Just How Offensive are Kanye’s ‘New Slaves’ Lyrics?

Kanye West SNL 2013Kanye West performed two new songs from his upcoming album, Yeezuson Saturday Night Live last weekend.

One, “Black Skinhead” sounded oddly like a darker version of the non-Ke$ha rap part of Flo Rida’s “Right Round.”

The other, “New Slaves,” is Kanye’s hateful ode to capitalistic society, injustice, and the paparazzi.

For shock value, Kanye draws a few ridiculous comparisons to celebrity and slavery.

“I’ll move my family out the country so you can’t see where I stay, so go grab the reporters so I can smash their recorders” he sings.

Urban Outfitters Backlashed For Stereotyping The Irish

New York congressional district rep. Joe Crowley and nine members of something called “the Congressional Ad Hoc Committee on Irish Affairs” sent the CEO of Urban Outfitters an angry letter after a bunch of semi-humorous St. Patrick’s Day apparel appeared on their website.

The Term “Cougar” No Longer Applies To Felines

A Utah school’s decision to not make their new mascot a cougar because it might be offensive to middle-aged women makes me wonder what people think of first when they hear the word “cougar.”

I guess it depends on the context. For instance “there’s a cougar roaming school grounds” certainly could conjure images of a hungry Demi Moore, but as a country girl I’d have to assume that it was an actual cougar reference. Listen, Corner Canyon High board members, this is not offensive to middle-aged women, it’s offensive to mountain lions.

Tyler, The Creator’s Millionth Offensive Rap/Rant

Hey MTV, the guy you gave the Best New Artist VMA to is a certifiable douchebag and I seriously question his validity and talent.

He wrote a song called “Bitch Suck Dick” where him and his equally down-syndromy friends talk about anal, poking eyelids, dick jewelry and punching women for “talkin’ shit.”

Everything this little cocksmith does is for shock value but the only thing shocking about his music is how bad and pointless it is…

Disappointing Britney Spears VMA Tribute

Obviously I am not happy about the MTV Video Music Awards this year. So far I’ve been excited to see Rebecca Black dressed as a dinosaur, the Amy Winehouse tribute, Adele’s performance and Beavis & Butthead staring at Nicki Minaj’s Super Bass Bazoombas.

While I am happy that there was a tribute at all for Britney Spears and that she won the award for Best Pop Video for “Till The World Ends,” the tribute part of it was a huge letdown.

This year Britney (who looked very healthy/pretty) was presented the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award and a group of people got together to apparently, celebrate her history…
