Bob Geldof (most famous for the song “I Don’t Like Mondays”) addressed the heartbreaking loss:

We are beyond pain. She was the wildest, funniest, cleverest, wittiest and the most bonkers of all of us. Writing ‘was’ destroys me afresh. What a beautiful child. How is this possible that we will not see her again? How is that bearable?”

Cory Monteith Died of a Heroin and Alcohol-Related Drug Overdose

Cory Monteith drumsA coroner in British Columbia confirmed earlier this week that 31-year-old Glee star Cory Monteith’s death was caused by a lethal dose of heroin mixed with alcohol on Saturday.

“It should be noted that at this point there is no evidence to suggest Mr. Monteith’s death was anything other than a most-tragic accident,” Canadian authorities said in a press conference.

The police explained that “there were indications in the room that this was a drug overdose,” and while they didn’t specify what those indications were, it’s probably safe to assume that, since it was heroin, there were either needles or some kind of foil and/or pipe discovered in his hotel room.

His co-star Jane Lynch said the following kind words about Monteith while visiting The Tonight Show:

“Cory’s one of the biggest hearts, was a real bright light. He was one of those guys that … he knew he was breathing rarified air. The gifts that this wonderful show gave us … He was always aware that it was a gift and he was quite generous. He was one of those adventurous types of people.”  Continue reading “Cory Monteith Died of a Heroin and Alcohol-Related Drug Overdose”

911 Good Samaritan Override Would Have Resulted in Serious Charges for Stephanie Bongiovi, or Worse

Jon Bon Jovi’s teenage daughter Stephanie overdosed on heroin last Wednesday in her dorm room and was not charged because of a brilliant thing called the 911 Good Samaritan law in New Jersey that prevents overdose victims and those who seek medical attention for the victims from being prosecuted.

The preventative measure is active in several other states including Washington, New Mexico, Wisconsin, Connecticut, and New York. Sadly, Chris Christie is looking to overturn the 911 Good Samaritan Emergency Response Act in NJ because he feels that it of a fear that it could inadvertently give drug dealers immunity.

Governor Christie’s state is one of many where overdoses are the leading cause of accidental deaths.

As you may know, Sylvester Stallone’s eldest son Sage Stallone was found dead at his home in Los Angeles on Friday. What we still don’t know is the cause of death or many details at all, for that matter.

There were prescription pills in the home but as far as we know they were not on his person or next to his body. His mother, who identified the body, said she only found empty soda cans in the vicinity.

TMZ reports that he had been dead for at least three days and that he lived a very reclusive lifestyle, comparing him to Howard Hughes and calling him “a hermit.”  Continue reading “Sage Stallone’s Death Still Shrouded In Mystery”

In South Carolina a 20 year-old man passed away in a bizarre and tragic death that occurred after he swallowed a bag of cocaine that his brother, DeAngelo Mitchell (right) had previously been storing in his anus.

They were pulled over in North Charleston due to a malfunctioning taillight and then put into a police cruiser in handcuffs on suspicion of drug possession. The car’s camera captured Wayne Joshua Mitchell’s 23 year-old brother pleading with him to chew and shallow the ounce of cocaine.
