Gwyneth Paltrow and Her Freshly-Mowed Bush Hated The Met Gala

Gwyneth Paltrow bored Met GalaGwyneth Paltrow got a little tipsy and divulged her true feelings about the Met Gala and many other things. Paltrow was hilariously honest with Jackie O and Kyle, telling the radio hosts that the Gala was staler than Nicole Richie’s pre-weight loss Taco Bell farts. This due to a Kanye West tempter tantrum, elderly people dressing like punks, and an identity mishap involving Psy.

Do you want me to be honest? It sucked. It seems like the best thing in the world. You think, ‘Oh my god, it’s going to be so glamorous and amazing, and you’re going to see all these famous people.’ And then you get there, and it’s so hot, and so crowded, and everyone’s pushing you. This year it was really intense. It wasn’t fun!

Here’s the part about 99% of the population, including celebs, not knowing punk from Top 40:

Everyone was dressed in punk … and I feel that we’re all a bit old to be dressed punk, you know what I mean? I didn’t. I just went kind of normal.  Continue reading “Gwyneth Paltrow and Her Freshly-Mowed Bush Hated The Met Gala”

Psy’s Less Catchy ‘Gentleman’ is Already More Popular Than Half the Videos on YouTube

Psy horse danceThe follow-up to Psy’s breakout hit “Gangnam Style” may be forgiven for being significantly less sing-along-worthy because of its quirky video. In “Gentleman” the South Korean rapper dances in all sorts of different locations, with all different types of people. Causing the most problems for the opposite sex by knocking them off treadmills, undoing their bikini tops and farting in their faces.

The few lyrics that are in English leave little to the imagination, but that’s okay because he’s just so damn adorable. (“Gonna make you sweat, gonna make you wet, you know who I am.”)

By the time you’re reading this, the video will have reached 50 million views, more than Demi Lovato’s “Heart Attack” and Nicki Minaj’s “High School” combined. Continue reading “Psy’s Less Catchy ‘Gentleman’ is Already More Popular Than Half the Videos on YouTube”

DJ Earworm’s Mash-Up of Every Pop Song You Remember From 2012

faces of pop 2012San Francisco mash-up king DJ Earworm (Jordan Roseman) releases a master mix of all the radio-friendly songs of the year in December, and 2012’s is here, ripe with van Gogh-worthy tracks from Adele, One Direction, Ke$ha, Carly Rae Jepsen, Rihanna, PSY and more.

This one’s called “Shine Brighter” and it’s bound to get actual airplay, and a video complete with clips from every artist on Earworm’s YouTube channel shortly.

Poll: which song do you hate the least? I’m going with Bruno Mars’ “Locked out of Heaven,” mostly because it’s not as old as the others and therefore less overplayed.

(I don’t quite get why “Titanium” is absent? It was released Dec. 9, 2011, but Adele’s “Set Fire To The Rain” is from Nov. 2011 and was included. Poor Sia.) Continue reading “DJ Earworm’s Mash-Up of Every Pop Song You Remember From 2012”
