This Starbucks Drink in a Flower Vase Costs $54

most expensive starbucks drinkThanks to Starbucks’ Gold Card program and the natural human urge to break inane records, a man in Dallas created a specialized $54 cup of coffee that was literally served in a vase.

The drink, labelled the “Sexagintuple Vanilla Bean Mocha Frappuccino,” beat the previous record for Most Expensive drink ordered at the franchise by about six dollars and 70 cents.

With 60 shots, around 2,000 calories, and extras like drizzles and protein powder, the sex-a-whatever Frappe has enough caffeine to hype up a pod of blue whales, and/or Honey Boo Boo’s entire family.

Oregon Unofficially Beats Most-Gingers-in-One-Place Record

Portland redhead eventIt’s hardly news that something weird happened in Portland, but uh, something weird happened and I’m all about keeping it weird and spreading the word. (In truth, I’m just bored.)

There’s this thing called the Redhead Event, where a bunch of soulless gingers gathered to collectively sacrifice blondes and brunettes in the middle of a cement park in downtown Portland.

Actually they were trying to break a world record, or they did. It just hasn’t been confirmed by the weird bored fetishist people over at Guinness.

1,300 to 1,600 recorded firecrotches beat the prior American record of 890 and the international record of 1,255. Attendees provided childhood photos to prove their natural redness.  Continue reading “Oregon Unofficially Beats Most-Gingers-in-One-Place Record”

L.A. Woman Holds World Record For Largest Hips

woman with giant hips 39-year-old, 5’4″ Los Angeles native Mikel Ruffinelli‘s hips measure just over eight feet in circumference, making her the new world record holder.

“I love my shape and I see no reason to diet because I don’t have health problems,” the 420-pound mother of four and former plus-sized model told The World Record Academy.

Ruffinelli adds that she keeps her figure by consuming “Mexican food, English breakfasts and chips,” making sure to clarify that her and her husband have “an amazing time in bed” and are able to do every position.

I’m not even going to say anything mean. See how I’ve changed. It’s actually hard to not envy this woman’s confidence and seeming lack of self-consciousness.  Continue reading “L.A. Woman Holds World Record For Largest Hips”

‘The Hunger Games’ Comes In 3rd On Opening Weekend List

Jennifer Lawrence and her bow and arrow came in third on the all-time box office opening weekend records, beating out all three Twilight movies and every Harry Potter movie besides the final one, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2.

The Hunger Games raked in $155 million dollars and is the only non-sequel in the top ten besides Tim Burton’s Alice In Wonderland. I still haven’t seen the movie because I didn’t read the books yet.

Also, as a chili-loving ‘Merican I was disappointed when I found out that it wasn’t about an elaborate eating competition, or cannibalism. Is it about cannibalism? If so, I’ll go, but only if Elizabeth Banks and Woody Harrelson eat Liam Hemsworth.

For $2,000 You Can Consume A 338-Pound Hamburger!

In what has got to be the worst state (Michigan) in all of America, next to the Dakotas, Idaho and New Jersey, you can buy a gigantic 334 pound burger for the price of two thousand dollars! Mmmm.

The Southgate (14 miles from Detroit) restaurant is called Mallie’s Sports Grill & Bar and the 540,000 calorie meat pile (it looks like a giant dark worm-brownie) is known as the “Absolutely Ridiculous Burger.”

It also comes with fries and a drink and takes 22 hours to cook, says manager Jason Jones, who wanted to created a world record. He did too, because this is officially the largest burger ever made.

2012 World Records For Longest Nails, Afro and Tongue!

The Guinness Book Of World Records is usually just a book of records from people who tried something first, something too crazy to ever be uncontested.

Though sometimes, there are interesting records in there, things about music or book sales OR people with bizarre body parts, or extensions of body parts. (Not peens, pervs)…

‘Creature’ Breaks Records, Worst At Box Office

The kitschy Swamp Thing ripoff, Creature rolled into theaters last Friday in 1,507 theaters around America and earned only about $331,000 over a three-day period.

Creature nearly did the worst at the box office EVER considering how many theaters it was shown at. The average amount of screenings for a movie is around 2,500, but that hardly makes up for the lack of attendees.

Creature had the second worst-grossing opening of all time in the U.S. (The per-showing average was about six people)

The only movie to beat out Creature for worst opener per-theater was Proud American, a political drama from 2008.

Even with it’s low-budget and f-list cast, the movie will go down as a cult B-movie that is a prime example of a film that needed to go straight-to-DVD.
