Video: Game of Thrones Season 3 Trailer #2

A second, longer Game of Thrones season three trailer is here, oddly featuring music from Tron. DID YOU KNOW that Khaleesi’s hair is burnt to a crisp on multiple dragon-related occasions in the book?

So good to see her with a full head of hair. And good that the producers cast normal Peter Dinklage as Tyrion Lannister, instead of a mutated Picasso-faced alien with two-toned eyes and hair.

Kathy Bates Signed Onto Salem Witch Trial-Themed Season of ‘American Horror Story’

Kathy Bates Jessica LangeKathy Bates has been added to the cast of FX’s upcoming season of American Horror Story which will relate to the Salem witch trials, according to Dylan McDermott.

“She really is [perfect]. All the witches of Salem…there’s plenty of them,” season one veteran McDermott told E!

Piecing this together with what creator Ryan Murphy told Collider in January, we can assume season three DOES NOT actually take place between 1692 and 1693, when the trials occurred. Murphy called it a “modern-day story” that would require “research of the different time periods” with a “female power” theme. He also said that it will take place in several cities (Danvers, Ipswich and Andover, Massachusetts?).

Trailer: Game of Thrones Season 3

The Game of Thrones season 3 trailer delivers on the promise of flying dragons!

Steamy ‘Pretty Little Liars’ Winter Premiere Shows New Sides to Old Characters

Hannah Mona Pretty Little Liars The winter premiere of Pretty Little Liars aired last night and is back to its usual Scream-meets-Days-of-our-Lives tricks. Blackmail, baby mama drama, locker surprises… everyone’s a suspect, including your favorite character, whoever that might be.

In the midway point of season 3 (episode 14, “She’s Better Now”), Mona, one of the most crucial villains, has been released from the hospital and is either being made or playing the victim. (After sneaking into her old ally Hanna’s window, she says “Is this a bad time?”)

Cassadee Pope Takes ‘The Voice’ Season 3 Crown

Cassadee Pope train dress 1Former Hey Monday frontwoman Cassadee Pope beat out Terry McDermott and Nicholas David after performing with Kelly Clarkson, The Killers and Avril Lavigne in last night’s finale of The Voice.

Pope was a clear favorite with two high-charting iTunes covers, including one (“Over You”) that knocked “Gangnam Style” from the top. Her win in season three was the most watched finale in the show’s short history, with 14 million viewers.

Her competition, Radagast and Bilbo from The Hobbit, had decent pipes but no chance of achieving the commercial success that Pope can and hopefully will.  Continue reading “Cassadee Pope Takes ‘The Voice’ Season 3 Crown”

Trailer: ‘The Walking Dead’ Season Three

The Walking Dead returns October 14, and this time Rick and the gang are on the move. Actually on the move, not like last season where they said they were going to be but really they spent the whole time looking for that little girl on a boring farm owned by an eerie old control freak.

There are new character (zombie-beastmaster “Michonne” introduced at the end of last season, and the villainous “Governor”), and the reintroduction of Daryl’s presumed-dead brother, Merle Dixon.
