Two Balls In One Hole Wins 2012 NBA Slam Dunk Contest

Oh maturity, you’re no friend of mine. NBA All-Star weekend wrapped up on Saturday. Oregon-grown Kevin Love of the Timberwolves won the three point contest against Kevin Durant but of course the real showstopper was the dunk competition.

No big names this year. Dwight Howard, Lebron and Blake Griffin, who won last year, were all absent. Instead it was Utah’s 24 year-old forward, Jeremy Evans who got the fan’s votes.

“I felt like the first dunk I did was horrible, people didn’t really know who I was before this, but after tonight, hopefully they know my name” said Evans.

Blake Griffin’s Greatest Dunk

That guy that looks a lot like Kim Kardashian’s husband but with about 30 times the talent made the best dunk of his career on Monday night. Yes, Blake Griffin, who once jumped over a car in the NBA dunk contest, slammed his young leather uniball over the Thunder’s Kendrick Perkins.

The Oklahoma center had no chance against the advance by Griffin, who basically flew over his head and one-handed it in.

The motion was fluid and effortless, something the L.A. Clippers haven’t experienced as a team in a long time.

The Clippers, who have lived in the shadow of their superstar rival Lakers for years, have a high probability of making the playoffs. Even LeBron James admitted to being visually inferior to Griffin.  Continue reading “Blake Griffin’s Greatest Dunk”
