Brooklyn Cop Killer Posted Photo of Murder Weapon on Instagram

brooklyn shooter murder weapon instagramMuch like woman-hater Elliot Rodger, Ismaaiyl Brinsley – the 28-year-old gunman who took out two police officers near a Brooklyn subway station yesterday – foreshadowed his murderous intent using social media, posting not only a photo of the weapon he used to shoot his ex-girlfriend, the two cops and also himself, but messages that read “I”m putting wings on pigs today,” “They Take 1 of Ours…… Let’s Take 2 of Theirs #ShootThePolice #RIPEricGarner #RIPMikeBrown,” and “This may be my final post.”

In an added tragic twist, Brinsley’s ex’s mother told the Baltimore police Brinsley was dangerous, but the NYPD didn’t receive the information until “moments before the attack” on officers Wenjian Liu and Rafael Ramos, who were shot in their squad car without warning at 2:47 p.m. on Saturday, December 20.

Amanda Bynes Frolics in Bikini, Makes Long-Awaited Return to Twitter!

Amanda Bynes bikini 2014
Amanda Bynes MAY be giving us the success story we wasted our time hoping for with Lindsay Lohan…

After entering a hospital and eventually rehab for driving crazily, smashing bongs and lighting fires in people’s yards, Bynes is seemingly back to her content, sane self – spending time with her parents and attending the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising.

Of all the negative things Bynes was “famous” for in recent years, most know her for her presence on Twitter.

Once the queen of attention-grabbing tweets that often involved calling people “ugly” and getting her vagina murdered, not to mention the posting of one-eyed duckface photos, Amanda B. has quietly returned to social media with short and sweet messages about her fans and her birthday. (She just turned 28.)  Continue reading “Amanda Bynes Frolics in Bikini, Makes Long-Awaited Return to Twitter!”

Gay Dads Kordale and Kaleb are too Fabulous For This World

black gay dads instagramSuper handsome African-American dads Kordale and Kaleb weren’t very surprised when people threw racist and homophobic shade at them for posting a photo of their morning routine with two of their three daughters on Instagram.

While the couple acknowledged in a statement to the Huffington Post that what they do in the comfort of their home is “no one’s business,” they also recognized that they knew the photo might get attention and they couldn’t go off the rails just because a bunch of assholes disagree with their lifestyle.

The only thing that surprises me is that common situations like this continue to shock others and are still considered “different,” even in the eyes of total jerk bigots with way too much time on their hands.

PR Woman Justine Sacco is too White to Get AIDS

A woman who works for the company that owns College Humor, Vimeo, OkCupid and About.com, to name a few, deleted her Twitter account over a distasteful joke about AIDS.

Earlier today, IAC media employee Justine Sacco posted the following tweet:

This type of joke wouldn’t have been noticed by anyone if it had merely been spoken out loud to an audience at any comedy club, but a businesswoman of her stature should probably know better.

Rape, Praise for Rapists and Threatening Rape Victims: Anything Goes in Steubenville

Steubenville rapistsNormally it’s stories of animal abuse that disturb me to the point of actually being distracted during my daily routine, but every once in a while a news report of human tragedy like the one in Sandy Hook comes along and reminds me that I’m not incapable of sympathy.

For me, it was Amanda Todd, the Canadian teen who was blackmailed and bullied so harshly over a topless screen capture that she took her own life. (The post-mortem online bashing pushed me over the what-is-happening-to-the-world edge.)

For others, it’s the Steubenville case in which two “promising” (as CNN reminded us) high school football players were found guilty of rape and sentenced to one and two years in a detention center.

The boys, wide receiver Ma’lik Richmond and quarterback Trent Mays, bragged about their exploits using a trifecta of social media that included Twitter, Instagram and YouTube, posting photos and videos of (and relating to) the unconscious victim.

Don’t Call Lady Gaga’s ‘ARTPOP’ An Album, It’s A ‘Multimedia Experience’

Lady Gaga made a big announcement about her second full-length album ARTPOP on her website Wednesday

Turns out, ARTPOP is going to be more than just an album.

It will be an app for your iPad, iPhone, Android, and computer which will allow fans to chat with each other about Lady Gaga and her music, play games, and receive “important” updates from Mother Monster herself.

“Im excited to tell you all that ARTPOP is going to be a multimedia experience that comes in different forms,” Gaga writes.

I think this is especially confusing because everyone already thought her new immersive social media platform (LittleMonsters.com) had satisfied the narcissistic attention-craving artist within.  Continue reading “Don’t Call Lady Gaga’s ‘ARTPOP’ An Album, It’s A ‘Multimedia Experience’”
