In Down The Rabbit Hole, 35-year-old Holly Madison apparently describes living at the mansion and being with Hef as a “nightmare” that ultimately led to her “sitting alone in a bathtub contemplating suicide.” Continue reading “Former Hugh Hefner Girlfriend Contemplated Suicide”
As you all know by now, the world lost Robin Williams, one of the most versatile, funny men in the entertainment industry. A man with more great movies under his belt than any other I can name. He was a legend, one I grew up with. The Birdcage and Mrs. Doubtfire are two of my favorite comedies of all time and Aladdin was my all-time favorite, most-sung Disney movie as a grade schooler. That’s one of the two questions people seem to be answering on their own when confronting the loss of such an icon…. Their favorite work of his, and then their thoughts in general on suicide.
Many celebrities have weighed in, most leaning heavily toward one side or the other. On one end, we have people who believe suicide to be the ultimate selfish act, and on the other, those who feel that it’s not a choice at all, but an act so desperate it’s committed without thought.
No, I don’t get along with anybody who’s a drug addict and has a dark cloud over their head and sees themselves as a victim. Drug addicts and alcoholics are always: “The world is a harsh place.” My mother was in a concentration camp in Nazi Germany. I don’t want to hear fuck all about “the world as a harsh place.” She gets up every day, smells the roses and loves life. And for a putz, 20-year-old kid to say, “I’m depressed, I live in Seattle.” Fuck you, then kill yourself.
I never understand, because I always call them on their bluff. I’m the guy who says ‘Jump!’ when there’s a guy on top of a building who says, “That’s it, I can’t take it anymore, I’m going to jump.”
Are you kidding? Why are you announcing it? Shut the fuck up, have some dignity and jump! You’ve got the crowd.
(I really have no idea how, after all these years, they don’t both assume everything is a prank.)
Michael Jackson’s 15-year-old daughter, Paris Jackson, was rushed to the hospital and put on psychiatric hold after calling a suicide hotline early Wednesday morning.
Jackson reportedly needed several stitches for self-inflicted cuts on her right arm. She was also said to have taken a “large number” of over-the-counter anti-inflammatory pills (Motrin).
A source for TMZ says that though this was not her first attempt, it was “far more serious” than past incidents.
TMZ also claims that Jackson cut herself with a meat clever and left a suicide note after she found out that she was not allowed to attend a Marilyn Manson/Alice Cooper concert. The website has two photos of Paris with scars on her arms.
Marlon, Jackie, Tito Jackson’s joint statement: “Thank you for the outpouring of concern and support for Paris. She is safe and doing fine. We truly appreciate you respecting our family privacy at this time.”
Jackson family lawyer Perry Sanders’ statement: “Paris is physically fine and is getting appropriate medical attention … Being a sensitive 15-year-old is difficult no matter who you are. It is especially difficult when you lose the person closest to you.”
Platinum-certified “Guys Do It All the Time” singer Mindy McCready shot and killed herself on the porch of her home in Heber Springs, Arkansas at around 3:30 pm Sunday afternoon.
McCready had an arrest record stretching from 2004 to 2008 and struggled to meet the guidelines of her probation due to alcohol and prescription drug addictions.
In 2010 she appeared in season three of VH1’s Celebrity Rehab With Dr. Drew.
The mother of two was involved in relationships with high-profile MLB pitcher Roger Clemens, actor Dean Cain, musician Billy McKnight (who was arrested for viciously attacking her eight years ago), and producer David Wilson. Tragic news out of Kansas. Linebacker Jovan Belcher, 25, killed his 22-year-old girlfriend of three years in front of her mother, drove to Arrowhead stadium, thanked the general manager and coach, then shot himself in the head.
It was explained in an official statement that coach Crennel, the league office and team captains collectively decided to not cancel their afternoon game against the Carolina Panthers today.
Belcher’s motive for murdering girlfriend-of-three-years Kasandra Perkins just three months after she gave birth to his child is unknown. A friend of the couple tells the Kansas City Star that they had argued over Perkins staying out late for a concert and that she wasn’t aware of prior abuse. Police were called to the home of 15-year-old Amanda Todd on October 10 after she committed suicide in her home in British Columbia.
A month before her death she posted a video called “My story: Struggling, bullying, suicide, self harm,” and it is basically a list of reasons why she took her life.
In 7th grade Todd sought attention on webcam chats. One man who the police are currently searching for coerced her into flashing him. When she refused to do more he sent a screenshot of her chest to her family and friends which, on top of some of the usual impulsive decisions most teens make (sleeping with a boy who had a girlfriend), led to her being bullied at school. Emmy award-winning director and producer Tony Scott, jumped off the Vincent Thomas Bridge in San Pedro yesterday afternoon.
Multiple witnesses saw 68-year-old Scott, younger brother of Alien director Ridley Scott (Scott Free Productions), hoist himself over a fence and hurl himself into the water.
The body was pulled out of the water by the coast guard and identified Sunday evening. ABC reports that he had been diagnosed with inoperable brain cancer prior to his suicide.
Scott’s filmography includes Top Gun, Days Of Thunder, Beverly Hills Cop II, True Romance, Enemy Of The State, Spy Game, Man On Fire, Déjà Vu, and The Taking Of Pelham 123. Continue reading “‘Top Gun’ Director Tony Scott Commits Suicide (June 21, 1944 – August 19, 2012)”
Ten-time all-pro NFL linebacker Junior Seau was found in his Oceanside home by his live-in girlfriend, Mary Nolan, with a revolver by his side and a fatal gunshot wound to the chest on May 2.
Police ruled out Nolan as a suspect and the death has been ruled a suicide.
In late 2010 he survived a 100-foot fall off a cliff in his Escalade, saying he’d fallen asleep at the wheel.
Seeing as it was right after he’d been arrested for domestic violence (Nolan was his partner then too) many believed that incident to not have been an accident, even though Junior was adamantly against that theory. Continue reading “Junior Seau’s Suicide Raises More Questions About CTE”
Tiny TV personality, singer, model, blogger and self-proclaimed gangster Tila Tequila nearly died last week. Her roommate was forced to call 911 after discovering her convulsing on the bed of her home in California.
Sources are saying that she’d lost over 20 pounds recently and suffered a brain aneurysm. After that, she took two bottles of prescription pills, threw up, began screaming and tried to jump out the window.
Her roommate came over after he received an odd text from Tila, who was eventually hospitalized and kept in intensive care until Monday. The source also mentioned that she cannot speak properly at the moment and may have permanent brain damage.
I’m not going to make any jokes whatsoever about this one. Continue reading “Tila Tequila Had A Near-Death Experience”
