Sue Me, I Thought ‘The Walking Dead’ Finale Was Really F*cking Boring

As anyone with a TV, Facebook or even the most snail-paced internet connection knows – The Walking Dead season 4 finale was on last night.

Considering how uneventful and equally or less exciting than every other non-finale episode, I’m baffled by the amount of websites that called it “shocking,” “exciting” and “brutal.” (Spoilers ahead.)

Carl almost getting raped? – not shocking because we knew it would never happen. Rick being reunited with the gang? – not shocking because we knew it would happen. Rick taking advice from a dead man…? No.
Rick and Daryl season 4 finale still
The real shocker was that nobody died. Not Glenn (dead in the comic) or Maggie (what I expected) or even the new characters, and that the craziest events of the season didn’t occur when the gang ended up trapped in a train car together, but two episodes ago, when crazy-eyed Lizzie exclaimed “Don’t worry, she’ll come back. I didn’t hurt her brain,” after murdering her younger sister.  Continue reading “Sue Me, I Thought ‘The Walking Dead’ Finale Was Really F*cking Boring”

Check Out Carl From The Walking Dead’s Older, Female Stunt Double

Carl female stunt double walking dead
The Talking Dead just taught us that 14-year-old Chandler Riggs, the kid who’s played Carl since the show’s inception in 2010, has a female stunt double named Ashley who, at 31, is 17 years his senior.

Apparently, Riggs outgrew his prior stunt double from seasons 1-3, Savana Jade Wehunt (The Governor’s daughter). In a snippet on growing up on the set, Riggs reveals that the rest of the cast often forgets that he’s a kid, and that his favorite part of filming was being able to wear Rick’s hat (“it keeps the sun out my eyes while I’m shooting”) and burning the crap out of the barn full o’ zombies in season 2.

Trailer: The Walking Dead Season 4

I have a slightly love/hate relationship with The Walking Dead. Not to the extent that I do Glee or The Newsroom, two shows that I continue to watch and have no idea why, but with TWD my expectations are high and my thought process is like:

“Derp. This season is just okay, oh wait, it’s good again!”

“Are they ever going to find that little girl?”

“Why doesn’t anyone kill The Governor when they have the chance?”  Continue reading “Trailer: The Walking Dead Season 4”

The Walking Dead’s Michonne Talks Zombie Stupidity And The First Lady’s M&M’s

Danai Gurira, who plays Michonne on The Walking Dead (which returns on Sunday, October 14), talked about Michelle Obama and why you shouldn’t be afraid of zombies on Attack of the Show’s Tuesday episode.

“You can call Michonne a badass, I just play one on TV,” she told AOTS host of the week Rob Huebel.

On sword training: “It was intense like right after I got the job it was straight into training with it, you know new muscles you don’t realize you have are now screaming and resenting you.”

On outsmarting the undead: “This is what I’ve learnt from Michonne – zombies are the lesser life form, there’s no reason to run from them, there’s no reason to fear them. They’re not smart, you’re smarter.”

Funny Video: Zombies Don’t Belong Here

In “Zombie Experiment NYC” AMC’s The Walking Dead  unleashes people in convincing zombie makeup upon New York in response to being dropped from Dish Network.

Watch undead firefighters, postal workers, hotdog vendors, umbrella-holding businessmen, and children scare the crap out of the locals.  Continue reading “Funny Video: Zombies Don’t Belong Here”

Trailer: ‘The Walking Dead’ Season Three

The Walking Dead returns October 14, and this time Rick and the gang are on the move. Actually on the move, not like last season where they said they were going to be but really they spent the whole time looking for that little girl on a boring farm owned by an eerie old control freak.

There are new character (zombie-beastmaster “Michonne” introduced at the end of last season, and the villainous “Governor”), and the reintroduction of Daryl’s presumed-dead brother, Merle Dixon.

‘Walking Dead’ Writer Robert Kirkman, Not A Fan Of Zombie Fans

The man responsible for The Walking Dead comic book and therefore the show as well told Attack Of The Show host Kevin Pereira in an interview on Wednesday that he isn’t exactly thrilled when his followers dress like the flesheaters he made ever-so-popular.

“They’re nice people, I dunno, they’re somewhat crazy every now and then. They dress up as zombies a lot, that’s a little unsettling to me because people dressed up as zombies still terrify me. I get it, you’re trying to be a zombie, it’s unnerving, please don’t.”

He also said that the comic book industry needs to take itself more seriously in order to be taken seriously by everyone else, specifically the movie industry. On the slow second season of The Walking Dead he says:

There was the switchover from Frank Darabont to Glen Mazzara … I think that Glen Mazzara has a different style…he comes from a run and gun like, let’s blow through as much story as we can and force ourselves to come up with more stuff that will make the show interesting and let’s not hang on any moments let’s pay things off and then move on to the next thing.”

How Not To Get A Zombie Out Of A Well, By ‘The Walking Dead’

In “Cherokee Rose,” episode four of The Walking Dead season two, we learn a very valuable lesson, exactly what not to do when there’s a zombie stuck in your well. And, since I encounter this dilemma nearly every day, I figured I’d write down the anti-instructions.

Step One: Nearly forget to check your water source before drinking from it. At the last minute, notice shirtless mongoloid closed-eye fatty boom boom walker at bottom, poisoning your tap fluids.
