Australian Billionaire To Build Titanic II

Famous investor and owner of Mineralogy, Clive Palmer of Queensland, is planning on building a more modern version of the Titanic, called Titanic II. Oddly not a reference that straight-to-DVD sequel from 2010.

I have a sinking feeling about this one. And now so do you, concerning my Laffy Taffy jokes.

Besides it having “state-of-the-art 21st century technology and the latest navigation and safety systems” which Palmer mentioned in a statement, it will be constructed in China and not Ireland, like it’s cursed ancestor. It will, however, have the same dimensions and a course from England to New York sometime in 2016.

The Titanic Movie I Want To See In Theaters

It was so obvious that Leonardo DiCaprio’s character in Titanic was going to die (the lonely granny may have been a clue) but full-grown and teenage women worldwide cried anyway when he froze to death.

It’s because Rose was too big (Kate Winslet: “You know, he’s fatter now – I’m thinner”) to share the wood debris.

Kate Winslet Cleverly Skewers All Things Titanic

Kate Winslet is seems a little sick of Titanic. Even though her and Leonardo DiCaprio have had expansive careers after their roles in James Cameron’s big-budget romp, they cannot seem to avoid being associated with it by a few nostalgic fans.

Justin Bieber Rented Out Staples Center To Watch ‘Titanic’ With Selena

Justin Bieber gave us take a look into the mind and romantic gestures of a teenage millionaire when he rented out Staples Center in L.A. just to screen the saptastic classic James Cameron flick, Titanic.

Yes, the entire Staples Center, the multi-faceted venue where massive concerts take place, including some of Justin’s own. Oh and the Lakers play there too, no big deal…

‘Top Gun’ Is Latest For 3D Theater Release

The  1986 cult classic Top Gun starring Tom Cruise and Val Kilmer will be the latest to receive a 3D re-release for the big screen.

It joins the ranks of several other upcoming 3D releases of classic movies, with Lion King 3D opening this week and Titanic and Star Wars: Episode I set for release in 2012.

Top Gun will be released on an undisclosed date, in early 2012.
