Bruce Jenner Looks So Much Better As A Woman Than As A Man

call me caitlyn coverCaitlyn Jenner subtly clarified in her Vanity Fair article that she is a super separate entity from her stepdaughters Kim, Khloe and Kourtney, but she sure does publicity like a Kardashian.

No more speculation. Even the former Bruce Jenner’s excessive use of plastic surgery makes more sense now. The beauty standard bar has been set especially high in his family, but it also had a lot to do with him hating the masculine features that made him a sex symbol in the ’70s.

“Underneath my suit I have a bra and panty hose and this and that and thinking to myself, ‘They know nothing about me,'” Jenner said in her eye-opening VF interview. “Little did they know I was totally empty inside.”  Continue reading “Bruce Jenner Looks So Much Better As A Woman Than As A Man”

Colin Farrell Had a Telephone Romance With Elizabeth Taylor

Colin Farrell Elizabeth Taylor ellen Now I will tell you the unexpected tale of how an elder Elizabeth Taylor befriended hunky 30-something Colin Farrell

Taylor sent an orchid to Farrell after she found out he was in the hospital welcoming his son Henry into the world. (She was there having a coronary stent put in.)

Shortly after, the began talking on the phone late at night. Here’s a quote from Vanity Fair, explaining their relationship and why he was asked to speak at her funeral in 2011:

The pair eventually met in person and began exchanging phone calls, especially late-night ones that fit nicely into their insomniac schedules. “She wasn’t much of a sleeper at night like I’m not, so at two o’clock in the morning I’d call her. . .and the nurse would answer the phone. I’d say, ‘Is she awake?’ I’d be on the phone and I’d hear, ‘Hello?’ And I’d go how’s it going and we’d talk for a half an hour an hour into the wee hours. Really cool.’”  Continue reading “Colin Farrell Had a Telephone Romance With Elizabeth Taylor”

Amy Adams For Vanity Fair, January 2014

Amy Adams Vanity fair coverAmy Adams gets straight to the point (and half-naked) in the latest issue of Vanity Fair. Spreading holiday cheer with candy canes and signature ginge minge at famed celebrity hangout Chateau Marmont, Adams tells VF that she is “not pregnant” or looking to get married anytime soon to longtime boyfriend/fiancé Darren Le Gallo.

“I know he’s completely capable and lovely, and beautiful, and offers something I could never hope to offer just in the nature of his being,” Adams says.

She also talks about losing weight and being brown in David O. Russell’s American Hustle, which lazily combines the casts of his previous films, Silver Linings Playbook and The Fighter.

“It’s amazing what a tan can do. Because I’m not tan, so that was fun to play with,” Adams added.  Continue reading “Amy Adams For Vanity Fair, January 2014”

Taylor Swift Disses Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, Says They’re Going Straight To Hell Without Passing Go

Taylor Swift vanity fairTaylor Swift took it a bit too far when she hit beloved funny-ladies Amy Poehler and Tina Fey with a stone normally reserved for her ex-boyfriends. In the latest issue of Vanity Fair, Taylor (who I THOUGHT had an okay sense of humor) says there’s a special place in hell for the Golden Globe hosts who light-heartedly told her to “stay away” from Michael J. Fox’s son, joking that she “Needs some ‘me time’ to learn about herself.”

“You know, Katie Couric is one of my favorite people,” Swift told Vanity Fair’s Nancy Jo Sales. “Because she said to me she had heard a quote that she loved, that said, ‘There’s a special place in hell for women who don’t help other women.’”

I’d like to randomly mention that the favorited quote about women and fire/brimstone was originally delivered by Madeleine Albright at a WNBA game in 2006. I doubt our former Secretary of State would appreciate it being used maliciously against fellow feminists like Tina Fey.  Continue reading “Taylor Swift Disses Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, Says They’re Going Straight To Hell Without Passing Go”

Shirley Manson Recounts Intense Meeting With J-Lo

Garbage frontwoman Shirley Manson told Girl On Guy’s Aisha Tyler about an early encounter with a pop star she’d spoken ill of to the media earlier in her career in a podcast interview released Thursday.

When Tyler asked Manson if she ever had a public moment where she thought she was going to say something “explosive” or incendiary to the media, she responded with this anecdote:

“One really stupid thing I said was, I kind of went after J-Lo. Which I do regret actually because I then met her many years later and I respect her, she’s hardcore. She’s a hard worker. She’s fought tooth and nail to do what she does for a living.”  Continue reading “Shirley Manson Recounts Intense Meeting With J-Lo”

Lady Gaga, Through The Eyes Of Tony Bennett

In the midst of a photo shoot with Annie Leibovitz for Vanity Fair at Tony Bennett’s studio, a very naked Lady Gaga was seen by a very cool and collected silver fox. I’m going to assume Tony has seen his fair share of groupies and nudies, so instead of booking it the hell outta there, he stayed and did a sketch.

Tony Bennett Survived Seeing Lady Gaga Naked

Lady Gaga, who worked with 85 year-old Tony Bennett on his Duets II album for “The Lady Is A Tramp,” was doing a risque shoot for Vanity Fair in his studio, which he viewed in its entirety.

The routinely trampy queen of shock-pop talked to Jonathan Ross about the encounter, saying:

“I just shot a spread for Vanity Fair in America and Annie Leibovitz shot me and she wanted me to be naked of course. I was in Tony’s studio and I walked in and she was like: ‘I want you to be naked,’ so I took my robe off and lay down and poor Tony was standing there looking at me like: ‘Oh this fucking girl…'”
