Lana Del Rey Has Three Songs! Is Still The Next Adele

Lana Del Rey, (formerly Elizabeth Grant) premiered a new song, and appeared on the cover of Wonderland Magazine for a fabulously intelligent and snarky interview regarding her fame and lip-enhancement surgery rumors.

“I’m sure it wouldn’t have happened if I were a man. What other people think of me is none of my business but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t hurt my feelings.”

If this woman doesn’t become the next Adele or Amy Winehouse, I’m really going to individually leave flaming cat poo bags at the door of every single American and English person in the world.

And I don’t want to sound like a horrendous monster, but Lana Del Rey COULD end up being more complex and versatile than Adele.

1. She’s not a “better” singer, but her voice is more unique. 2. She’s conventionally beautiful/looks like Natalie Portman. 3. Her lyrics go beyond the one-dimensional nature of Adele’s anti-feminist “Someone-Like-You-Rolling-In-The-Deep-Set-Fire-To-The-Rain” garble.

On Friday she began her sold-out UK tour at the Ruby Lounge in Manchester, where she debuted a new song (her most famous being the viral wildfire “Video Games”) called “Off To The Races,” a departure from her previous slower-paced releases.

P.S: I love Adele, I’m just ready for her next album, 24, to come out. And I wish more than just “Hometown Glory” had gone somewhere beyond “I’m young and heartbroken,” which is understandably the natural place for someone her age to lyrically go.
