The publisher Yves Gijrath says there was nothing wrong with the article, but that Hoeke’s attitude and the way she went about her apology was ultimately what caused a rupture in her credibility.
Eva Hoeke’s resignation statement did suck, “The term ‘niggabitch’ came from America and we solely used it to describe a style of dress.” This lady even had the balls to invite Rihanna to share her opinion. “Jackie Magazine will invite Rihanna to share her feelings and thoughts on the article in the next issue.”
Oh and she did share her opinion, on Twitter. “With all respect, on behalf of my race, here are my two words for you…FUCK YOU!!!” Hell yeahhh non-n-word bitch, I’m right there with you. These people are clearly insane.
Fuck every white person who thinks they can pull that off in the first place, let alone print it in a magazine. Here’s what publisher Gijrath had to say,
“We did not realize this interpretation is such a touchy subject. We never meant any harm.” And he called the incident “a fuss,” as if it were a stubbed toe or lost piece of floss. If you’re gonna be offensive you better be funny…
“She has street cred, she has a ghetto ass and she has a golden throat. Rihanna, the good girl gone bad, is the ultimate niggabitch…let’s hope she won’t beat anybody up at daycare,” didn’t make me facially flinch, it’s just grounds for a shotgun pointed at certain wooden-shoe wearing feet.
