Ronda Rousey Expresses Interest in Fighting Holly Holm After Submitting Zingano

Holly Holm vs Ronda Rousey“Rowdy” Ronda Rousey (add about a million y’s to that for a solid Bruce Buffer impersonation) told Joe Rogen in her post-fight interview that she is interested in taking on UFC newbie Holly Holm.

“Holly Holm is a world champion boxer and I always want to test myself against that level of striking,” Rousey said.

Holm, 33, showed impressive striking and kickboxing technique in her debut earlier tonight against Raquel Pennington, who lost despite having considerably more experience with big-name fighters like Cat Zingano.

Speaking of Zingano, Rousey’s takedown during tonight’s UFC 184 was a record-breaker. After a mere 14 seconds, Rousey had Zingano tapping out of her signature armbar, but Rousey was ready not only for some chicken (“I can’t wait to get some hot wings,” she told Rogen) but for some real competition as soon as it was over.

Ronda also mentioned wanting to face Bethe Correia, but I’ll definitely be keeping my eye on Holm, who showed infinite promise against Pennington.

Instead of giving Zingano a quick second chance, I’m ALL FOR Holm vs. Rousey 2015.

  1. Fourteen fuckin’ seconds. Here for art I befuddled. For as much as her personality gives me a rubbery one, there’s no denying the talent.
Really wanted to see Cat get it done.

  2. sHE Should fight a man fighter or CYBBURGER, otherwise she is a chomp and is afraid
    of any real competition,.
