Rihanna Basically Wore No Clothes to a Fashion Award Show

Rihanna see through dressRihanna, one of the most-naked celebrities, is considered a fashion icon. Go figure. If fashion is ever-changing, then Rihanna – with her five unique hair styles a year and bottomless wardrobe – IS fashion (Tom Ford called her dearly departed Instagram account “the most important” thing in the industry), but she also has entire closets dedicated to bikinis and nipple pasties.

Rihanna’s stripper’s paradise continued at the CFDA’s earlier today in New York, where she was presented with the Fashion Icon Award wearing a bedazzled shower cap, see-through strip of fabric by Adam Selma, and pinkish fur.

Perhaps the hat is more of a flapper head dress than synchronized swimwear, but who besides an asexual design student would even notice what’s going on above the neck?

Justin Bieber Puts on His Best Overalls For the Canadian Prime Minister

On Friday Justin Bieber accepted a Diamond Jubilee Medal from Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper, given to citizens who have significantly contributed to society, wearing half-buttoned overalls.

The award was handed out to 60,000 people this year, mostly to non-famous community leaders, though it can be bestowed up those who bring “credit to Canada” due to their achievements abroad.

I’m sure he’s involved in some kind of charity, and he is the most recognizable Canadian, though not the sexiest (Gosling, Reynolds, Cuthbert, Kirshner), in existence, so I guess he deserves it?

I have no clue why they choose to announce one woman of the year?  Why pick the aging Dutch model Lara Stone? (And by aging I mean she’s older than me, which is older than the pyramids in that industry)…

VMA Nominees/Predictions

This year the VMAs have no host (for the third time) which is a horrible idea, but at least Britney Spears, Adele, and Lady Gaga will be there. (And Kanye West & Jay-Z doing something from Watch The Throne)

Here are my VMA predictions, even though I procrastinated and it’s the actual day of the VMAs. I hope I can guess at least two of the category winners. Oh and I left out the Editing, Direction, Special Effects, Cinematography and Choreography sections, so go look somewhere else for those snooze-inducers…
