‘Marley’ Documentary, As Innovative As The Man Himself

The documentary Marley, focusing on the life of the most famous reggae artist of all time who we lost to cancer in 1981, made an estimated $260,000 at the box office after playing in only 42 theaters following itss release on 4/20.

Besides being available for viewings at local indie theaters nationwide, Magnolia Pictures made a smart move targeting youth –  availability on Facebook  for  $6.99 (a portion of proceeds go to Save The Children) and streaming/on demand platforms.

On iTunes it shot up to the #6 most rented film amidst Blockbuster titles like Contraband and Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol. On the movie, directed by Oscar-winner Kevin Macdonald (Last King Of Scotland), Ziggy Marley says:

Miley Cyrus Is A Stoner? ‘Surprise’ Is The Wrong Expression

I’m also not surprised that Paris Hilton or Sarah Silverman or freakin’ Willie Nelson for that matter, are fans of cannabis. The great thing about weed is it’s not as personality-specific as you think. The hobo on the street can stink of skunk weed, but so can your dad or some Ivy League wannabe.

Now, meth, coke and LCD, those are very specific. There are distinct caricatures of these people, because they are unmistakable. ANYWAY, Miley Cyrus aka Bob Miley is a stoner, I don’t care if she was smoking salvia or saliva or snake blood, she still also smokes pot. That is, if you even believe that wasn’t ganj.

A new vid from her 19th birthday party in L.A. has surfaced, it’s not of her smoking but it is of her talking about smoking.

Rihanna Is A Pizza Face

PizzaExpress, a gourmet pizza company operating out of England, have created musically-inspired pizzas that depict the faces of Rihanna, Madonna and Jimi Hendrix.

The stunt shows album covers by Rihanna (Loud) Madonna (True Blue) Jimi Hendrix (Kiss The Sky) and Jeff Buckley (Grace) and Bob Marley’s Legend.

The Madonna, Rihanna and Jimi Hendrix pies look great and very similar but the Bob Marley and random Jeff Buckley pizza really are unrecognizable…
