Marilyn Manson to Star in ‘Sons of Anarchy’

Marilyn Manson no makeupMarilyn Manson joins the long line of musicians to star in FX’s Sons of Anarchy including Henry Rollins, Dave Navarro and umm, Ashley Tisdale, if she counts?

Like Rollins as rapist and n-word killer AJ Weston, Manson will play a jailed white supremacist.

His character, Ron Tully, reportedly has “considerable power” even though he’s behind bars.

Sons has been such a big part of my life, as well as my father’s,” Manson tells Variety. “I was determined to make him proud by being involved in what will probably be remembered as the most amazing piece of television cinema. After all, the very heart of SOA is about that relationship. So, now all I need is a motorcycle.”

‘Glee’ Fans Will Mourn the Death of Finn Hudson in Fall of 2013

Finn hudson GleeGlee, [American Horror Story, Nip/Tuck and The New Normal] creator Ryan Murphy recently told E! News what his last conversation with Cory Monteith, who played Finn Hudson on the popular musical show and died of a heroin overdose last week, related to.

Unsurprisingly, it had to do with drugs, his job and a general unified concern for his life. Murphy was well aware of Monteith’s problem both past and present and discussed his reliance on narcotics.

“He wanted to continue working and we said, ‘That’s not an option. No. The TV show doesn’t matter, your life matters,'” Murphy said of the 31-year-old he described as “an older son.”

“His last words to me were, “I want to get better,” the Glee showrunner continued. “I always felt and continue to feel even in his death that he did, that he really wanted to fight it and he was humiliated and shamed.”

Emma Watson Talks To W About ‘The Bling Ring,’ Fame and Sex Appeal

Emma Watson W 2013 Inside the June/July issue of W Magazine, Emma Watson discusses her upcoming film and her past, before and right after scoring Harry Potter. And on The Bling Ring, Watson said, in the most demure way possible, that she was actually too classy to understand why her character would want people to see her bra.

In related news, Emma told reporters at Cannes that she watched “a lot of ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians and ‘The Hills,’” to understand the psychology of Nicki/Alexis Neiers. She added that she “thought a lot about what her parents must have been like.”

I find this weird because Pretty Wild (with the real-life Alexis Neiers and her mother) is on Netflix streaming.

(Maybe she’s not allowed to say that was her real point of reference for legal reasons?) The dynamic between Kris Jenner and Kim Kardashian is not exactly the same. Just watch. You’ll see.  Continue reading “Emma Watson Talks To W About ‘The Bling Ring,’ Fame and Sex Appeal”

Openly Gay Comic Book Characters, Latest In ‘Astonishing X-Men’

If I was a backwoods old timey conservative I’d say that ‘the gays have been infiltrating the media for years,’ and that it’s gone beyond just movies and television.

Yes, as if Queer As Folk, Will & Grace, The L Word, Brokeback Mountain, Skins, and Modern Family weren’t enough, there are homosexuals in video games (Dragon Age, Mass Effect, The Witcher 2) and comic books! Get the pitchforks.

Doonesbury (in 1976), Wonder Woman (1988), The Authority (1999), Batwoman (2006) and Archie (2010) are all examples of comics with gay characters.

In 1992 as a part of Alpha Flight, the Marvel superhero Northstar came out of the closet.
