Gwyneth Paltrow Thinks the Sun is Good For Her

Gwyneth Paltrow in the sunGood news, haters. Gwyneth Paltrow said this really atrocious thing to Cosmo UK about how the sun can’t hurt her.

I don’t know if it’s because she’s Blythe Danner’s daughter or because I have a weird uncalled-for obsession with the movie Duets, but I just keep expecting so much more from Gwyneth.

“We’re human beings and the sun is the sun – how can it be bad for you?” she said. “I don’t think anything that is natural can be bad for you.”

While I think she was probably just talking about Vitamin D, which has been proven to decrease the chances of heart disease, the wording makes me want to throw Apple and Chris Martin on a kebab.

Even if there weren’t massive holes in the ozone layer because people in the ’20s and ’30s made refrigerators and hairspray out of Krypton’s core, it still wouldn’t be good to sit in the scalding hot sun for the duration of a Madonna concert.  Continue reading “Gwyneth Paltrow Thinks the Sun is Good For Her”

Miley Cyrus For Cosmopolitan, March 2013

Miley Cosmopolitan coverMiley Cyrus does a lot of name-dropping in her “It’s Miley, Bitches” interview with Cosmo. The names of her “competition” or radio buddies (Rihanna, Nicki Minaj, Ke$ha, Lady Gaga, Frank Ocean), collaborators (Tyler, The Creator, Mary J. Blige), influences (Johnny Cash, Nelly, Dolly Parton) and of course her husband, Liam not-Thor Hemsworth.

On being herself on her new album: I really didn’t want to make a hip-hop record, and I’m not trying at all to be a Rihanna or a Nicki [Minaj]….That’s not my vibe.

Her musical background: When I was growing up, my older brother would sneak me Nelly CDs, my dad had me listening to Dolly [Parton] and Johnny [Cash], and my mom is a complete metal head. So this record is a weird mixture of all that.  Continue reading “Miley Cyrus For Cosmopolitan, March 2013”

Nicki Minaj Prefers Lippy Paupers To Cocky Princes

In the latest issue of Cosmopolitan magazine Nick Minaj let the world know that men who try to blow her mind and say they’re the best at this moment in life with their super blazin’ wallets make her dungeon dragon sad.

Enough snarling Minajian song references, this is serious business. Nicki says:

“I may be smiling in their face, but my antenna is up…When they’re trying to show off their cash or their watch, it’s an immediate turn-off.”

Then she put her pink shoe in her mouth a little bit by spouting a little too much confidence, kind of like those same guys who flaunt their benjamins to her:

“I’m around millionaires and athletes every day who think, ‘All I need to do is get in a room with Nicki Minaj’ and they’re gonna leave with my number…You can’t run game on a rapper. I’m always 10 steps ahead of you.”

Minka Kelly’s Mom Was A Stripper

Friday Night Lights/The Roommate actress Minka Kelly told Cosmopolitan magazine about her complex childhood life recently.

(Be clear that I am not making fun of Minka Kelly’s mom – there isn’t that much wrong with being a stripper unless you’re putting your kids or your life in danger on a constant basis, which not all strippers do)

Kelly described her mother to Cosmo by saying,

“She was 5’11,” legs up to her ears, gorgeous…She got along on that for as long as she could.”
