POLL: Is Driving Tired as Irresponsible as Driving Drunk?

Kevin Roper in court Tracy MorganAn incident where an 18-wheeler slammed into comedian Tracy Morgan’s limo bus – killing one and severely injuring Morgan, his opening act, Ardie Fuqua and tour manager – has sparked a debate on sleep-deprived drivers.

It was reported that the man behind the wheel of the semi was driving for at least 24 hours without pulling over on the New Jersey Turnpike, one of the most heavily traveled highways in the U.S.

According to the Institute of Medicine, nearly “20 percent of all serious car crash injuries in the general population are associated with driver sleepiness.”

Fatigue has very similar effects to alcohol consumption, and it has often been argued that the reaction time for an inebriated person and a sleep-deprived person are about the same.

Are We Monsters For Wondering if Wade Robson Was Really One of Michael Jackson’s Victims?

Wade Robson Today ShowWhen I first heard that ‘N Sync/Britney choreographer Wade Robson was suing Michael Jackson’s estate, I thought, on the off-chance that he wasn’t an attention-seeking liar, he should have spoken up before Michael died.

I now feel kind of bad for thinking that, because, despite being cleared of charges, we know Michael Jackson molested kids just like we know O.J. killed Nicole. (Wade made sure to reminds us of that on The Today Show, where he called his alleged aggressor a “pedophile” and a “child sexual abuser.”)

We also know that Robson spent time with Michael as a child. So why wouldn’t we believe him? Is it the timing, or the fact that he denied wrongdoing and testified not against but for Michael Jackson in 2005?

Maybe a combination of both. But that’s stupid because we know that victims often come out years after abuse occurs. And you’d think the safest time would be after their abuser was dead, right?

“In order to heal, I have to speak the truth and speak the whole truth,” Robson told Matt Lauer.

If he is lying, he’s a horrible person. If he’s not, we’re all horrible people for calling him a liar.

I think he might be telling the truth. I just don’t know why telling the public and bringing Jackson’s remaining family members into it is part of the healing process. What do you think?

Kristen Stewart and Tom Cruise are the Shiftiest Minxes in Hollywood

Kristen Stewart frustratedKristen Stewart is the quiet girl in the corner who scribbles your name in a death note, according to a Reader’s Digest poll that required 1,000 people to vote on which actors and actresses they trust the least.

Tom Cruise, the whacky homeschooled boy who befriends you so he can probe your ass with pointy alien artifacts, also topped the list of untrustworthy names in Hollywood.

In the realm of meaningless popularity contests that I don’t trust, I’d say this list ranks pretty high.

Not trusting someone because of their religion is like not trusting someone because they’re gay. Worried Tom Cruise will jump on a sofa and lure you into his spaceship? How about you just NOT become a Scientologist.

Kristen Stewart was hated long before she cheated on Robert Pattinson. She’s a monster because she’s shy, can’t walk in heels, and has been known to complain about fame.

Why the f*ck isn’t Mel Gibson on this list? He’s racist, sexist and anti-semitic…  Continue reading “Kristen Stewart and Tom Cruise are the Shiftiest Minxes in Hollywood”

Chris Brown ‘More Violent’ Than Oscar Pistorius!??

Chris Brown/Oscar PistoriusWoman-beater Chris Brown was deemed “more violent” than woman-murderer Oscar Pistorius in a recent poll by on TMZ.

A shocking 55% of readers came to this conclusion after being asked a variety of basic questions about Pistorius involving fairness in the trial and his temperament.

So assuming Pistorius, now out on bail, did intentionally shoot his girlfriend (85% think so), we’re saying domestic violence somehow trumps murder? Is it because it’s “easier” and somehow less brutal, at least in our minds, to shoot someone through a door? Would post-mortem photos of Reeva Steenkamp with a bashed-in skull change their minds?  Continue reading “Chris Brown ‘More Violent’ Than Oscar Pistorius!??”

Lady Gaga and Little Monsters Vs. Kelly and Sharon Osbourne (…and Joan Rivers)

Lady Gaga Kelly OsbourneLast week, Kelly Osbourne started a feud with Lady Gaga after telling Fabulous magazine that Gaga needs to put a leash on her fans because they are the ‘worst in the world.’

Gaga responded to Osbourne telling the press that Little Monsters told her to kill herself and that they hope she gets raped in a lengthy online message that read:

“I have empathy for you Kelly, but I feel it culturally important to note that you have chosen a less compassionate path.”

This is in reference to Fashion Police, the show in which Joan Rivers wittily compares women’s dresses to tampons, which Gaga says is “rooted in criticism, judgment, and rating people’s beauty against one another.”  Continue reading “Lady Gaga and Little Monsters Vs. Michael Strahan Replaces Regis Philbin For ‘Live! With Kelly And Michael’

And Kelly Ripa’s new co-host on the daytime talk show formerly known as Live with Regis and Kathie LeeLive! with Regis and Kelly, and then Live! with Kelly has a new permanent co-host in former Giants defensive end Michael Strahan.

Strahan was rumored to be replacing Regis in late August, so I’m sure the news doesn’t come as a huge surprise. You also might think he’s an unlikely host, but look at the show’s history…

Kelly might have seemed an odd choice in 2001, but she quickly increased the show’s young demographic by 80%. Strahan’s vitality and that-much-fun-looks-painful chemistry with Kelly could do a similar kind of viewer rearrangement with men, women, sports fans, and youths.  Continue reading “Michael Strahan Replaces Regis Philbin For ‘Live!
