Justin Timberlake Cut N*SYNC VMA Reunion Show, Wanted to Focus More on Himself

'N sync vmasHere’s a funny one – Justin Timberlake commissioned a reunion show with N*SYNC…and then cut half of it.

JT reportedly reached out to the former band members and convinced them to do a reunion show at the VMAs on Sunday, as he would be accepting the Michael Jackson Vanguard Award and had a 15-minute performance time to work with.

Rumors began swirling last week that the band had something in the works, putting dangerous amounts of stress on 20-something-year-old girls across the country.

But when the band did their thing, the performance was met with a ton of disappointment. Probably because the band only performed one song. The set was originally intended to feature a full medley of N*SYNC hits, but JT reportedly kept cutting it back more and more, reducing it to the 2-minute quickie we saw on Sunday.  Continue reading “Justin Timberlake Cut N*SYNC VMA Reunion Show, Wanted to Focus More on Himself”

Lindsay, More Than A Chris Brown Fan?

During the MTV Video Music Awards, which Lindsay Lohan did not attend because she’s too busy being a grump and suing Pitbull for mentioning her in a song, Lindsay tweeted a desperate message to Chris Brown.

Apparently she was impressed with his performance where he lip-synced and danced poorly to “Smells Like Teen Spirit” and a variety of other songs including his own, “Beautiful People.”

She needs to not be such a cat in heat with her butt in the air, see for yourself –

Demi Lovato Is Not Fat, Idiots

I barely know who Demi Lovato is. I know she’s a Disney starlet type, like Miley Cyrus or Selena Gomez? She is an ex-girlfriend of Joe Jonas, along with Taylor Swift and Camilla Belle.

I don’t know a single one of her songs but she kind of reminds me of a younger version of that ex-American Idol judge, umm Kara DioGuardi?

What I do know is that this girl is not fat or large or remotely overweight. On Sunday, Demi, 19, came under fire for apparent weight gain during and after her appearance (left) at the VMAs.

This is particularly disturbing considering she was in a treatment facility for bulimia and self-injury in October 2010 and was released in January of this year.

Beyonce Is Prego

Today Beyonce officially announced that she is in fact pregnant. She reportedly pointed and cupped her belly at the VMA Pre-Show AND before her performance of “Love On Top” she said,

“I want you to feel the love that’s growing inside me.”  (creepy)

Jay-Z And Kanye jumped all over the place… And later her agent confirmed the pregnancy to reporters.

This is her and Jay-Z’s first baby together. They were abruptly married in 2008 and have since led very normal lives as a duo, as normal as two of the biggest names in the industry can.

Rumors of Jay-Z’s infidelity have surfaced earlier this summer, somebody named Vashtie Kola claimed she was going to steal Jay away from Mrs. Beyonce Knowles. Sounds like an empty threat to me…

Disappointing Britney Spears VMA Tribute

Obviously I am not happy about the MTV Video Music Awards this year. So far I’ve been excited to see Rebecca Black dressed as a dinosaur, the Amy Winehouse tribute, Adele’s performance and Beavis & Butthead staring at Nicki Minaj’s Super Bass Bazoombas.

While I am happy that there was a tribute at all for Britney Spears and that she won the award for Best Pop Video for “Till The World Ends,” the tribute part of it was a huge letdown.

This year Britney (who looked very healthy/pretty) was presented the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award and a group of people got together to apparently, celebrate her history…

Chris Brown BUTCHERS Nirvana

Soooo, Chris brown came out at the VMAs to dance along to a bunch of songs. He did not sing at all, though he pretended too, barely. Even if he had sung it wouldn’t have mattered because it was complete techno auto-tune bullshit.

THEN he proceeded to dance his way through a variety of songs, including Wu-Tang Clan and Nirvana’s “Smells Like Teen Spirit.”

Nothing in the history of the VMAs has embarrassed me more. Not Britney Spears’ sad slow-roasting sausage dance to “Gimme More” in 2007. NOT Coldplay, not the Michael Jackson tribute, which could have been much more elaborate…

Lady Gaga’s Big Manly VMA Surprise

Well, we’ve been hearing for a week now that we were going to see something from Lady Gaga that we’ve “never seen before” at the VMAs. My thought was, well, of course we’re going to see something we’ve never seen before. It’s the first 2011 VMAs ever, that’s different right there.

So her big surprise is – she came out on stage at  the beginning of the show dressed as her male alter ego Jo Calderone and sang her piano ballad “You & I.” Brian May from Queen even came out to play guitar for her.

Basically she just talked WAY too much, blew puffs of smoke and looked exactly like the girl who dresses up in drag in 1985’s Just One Of The Guys and also the desperate girl gang member in Westside Story.

Oh, also, Justin Bieber made a face like someone had just skinned his mom. Poor kid, terrorized by Al Pacino with a vagina on the day of the VMAs!

VMA Nominees/Predictions

This year the VMAs have no host (for the third time) which is a horrible idea, but at least Britney Spears, Adele, and Lady Gaga will be there. (And Kanye West & Jay-Z doing something from Watch The Throne)

Here are my VMA predictions, even though I procrastinated and it’s the actual day of the VMAs. I hope I can guess at least two of the category winners. Oh and I left out the Editing, Direction, Special Effects, Cinematography and Choreography sections, so go look somewhere else for those snooze-inducers…

It’s Britney, Bitch!! (Video Nostalgia)

Because I’m thrilled about the Britney VMA tribute tomorrow, here are a bunch of videos of random Britney Spears moments… From Singing with Michael Jackson to The Madonna kiss to the strip tease to Pepsi ads to the snake slave dance to Glee’s Heather Morris to the “Circus” video!

(Britney Spears performing “The Way You Make Me Feel” with Michael Jackson, at Madison Square Garden)

(The famous Madonna/Britney kiss. Christina Aguilera and Missy Elliot were there too I think. Check out Avril Lavigne’s reaction! And Eminem, Beyonce, the Queer Eye guys, 50 Cent and Justin Timberlake. Priceless)

Get Psyched For The All-Star Britney Spears VMA Tribute!!

We heard a bit ago that VMA favorite of the past, Britney Spears, is getting her own tribute at the VMAs… Now I’m almost 100% sure that Madonna Katy, Perry, Lady Gaga, Ke$ha, Nicki Minaj, Demi Lovato and Janet Jackson will be involved.

It’s even rumored that Lady Gaga might sing “Circus?” Though that sounds pretty falsified to me.

Not to mention, Britney may perform snippets of two of her songs or more, I’m hoping.

Where on earth is Rihanna while all this is happening? I thought for sure after she did that wonderful remix of “S&M” with Britney that she’d want to get on this.

Lil’ Wayne’s Tha Carter IV, Drops August 29th at 12 AM

August 29, 2011, the day after the VMAs, at midnight, is the official release date for the much anticipated Lil’ Wayne album Tha Carter IV. Tha Carter IV, which was delayed by Weezy’s eight month stint in jail, will be available digitally after the MTV Video Music Awards, which he is also slated to perform at.

Lil’ Wayne, a notorious workaholic, has been extra busy lately, he released a mixtape on July 13th humorously titled Sorry 4 The Wait (In reference to Tha Carter 4/IVAND he’s officially announced a collaboration album with fellow Cash/Young Money signee Drake.

Lame VMA Announcement/A Normal Look For Lady Gaga

Lady Gaga made a “special” announcement on August 18th about the VMAs (She’s going to open at the show) and she was wearing what seems to be, for her, a normal outfit!?

Besides the birdlike/sea coral combo hat, this is pretty tame.

She appeared at Times Square (former gathering place of TRL fans) to make the inane comment that she will be the opener at the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday, August 28th…

Lady Gaga Confirmed for VMAs

Until recently the MTV VMAs were sounding more drab by the minute, at first the public only knew for sure that Adele, Bruno Mars and Chris Brown were scheduled to perform. Now, after announcements of a Britney Spears tribute segment, Lady Gaga has been officially added to the lineup!

The day after the release of the Nebraskan corn-syrup coma that is the “You & I” video, MTV let the public know that Mrs. Luc Carl meatdress, fire-piano bosom-pyrotechnics would show her Meadow-Soprano-looking-face at the legendary event on Sunday.

Weezer Does Live Cover of “Pumped Up Kicks”

Foster The People are huge in the indie/rock community right now. Their single “Pumped Up Kicks” has earned them two VMA nominations at the upcoming MTV music video awards in the categories Best Rock Video and Best New Artist.

The song has become such a sensation that famed overachievers Weezer recently covered the song during a live show in LA’s Pacific Amphitheatre. Check-ch-check-check-check it out!
