Nicole Scherzinger is ‘Too Old’ to Sit Around Waiting for Justin Bieber

Justin bieber gold glovesJustin Bieber is still having a week worthy of plus-sized tampons. First he had the “worst” 19th birthday ever, then he was criticized by fans who were forced to stay up past their bedtime when he came on stage 40 minutes late at a show in London, and now celebrities who weren’t even there are weighing in on his tardiness.

Lifelong One Direction fan Nicole Scherzinger, famous for throwing her cat at washed-up 90’s singers and judging The X-Factor in multiple countries, blasted the Biebs, who cited “technical difficulties” (though some think partying and diva behavior were to blame). Via Digital Spy:

I mean, if it were someone like Whitney Houston I’d be waiting. I’m getting too old to stay up late these days so I don’t have a lot of patience for that kind of thing.  Continue reading “Nicole Scherzinger is ‘Too Old’ to Sit Around Waiting for Justin Bieber”

Oprah Asks Cissy Houston About Whitney’s Possible Lesbian Tendencies

Whitney Houston's girlfriendIn the new book Remembering Whitney by Cissy Houston, the stern mother of the troubled star wrote that she did not approve of her daughter’s relationship with Robyn Crawford.

Crawford was often linked romantically to Houston without much proof, but Cissy basically spelled it out when she said that kids “want to experiment with all kinds of things.”

Oprah Winfrey asked Houston about it on OWN’s Next Chapter in a less elaborate but equally honest line of questioning, and Cissy still made it clear that she disliked the very idea of it.  Continue reading “Oprah Asks Cissy Houston About Whitney’s Possible Lesbian Tendencies”

Cissy Houston Gives Up On Blocking Bobbi Kristina’s Inheritance

The family drama between Whitney Houston‘s mom and daughter has come to a halt, for the moment.

TMZ reports that Cissy Houston has finally given up on trying to keep her granddaughter, Bobbi Kristina, from acquiring her mother’s fortune, a whopping $20 million dollars. Now BK can pay for all her wedding expenses. You know, the flowers, live music from Jordin Sparks (free), and the cake with the plastic figures of her and her brother on top…

I’m reminding you of the brother thing because I was watching The Talk last week and the ladies were saying how Kristina’s relationship on The Houstons: On Our Own with her not-blood-related brother, Nick Gordon, isn’t that creepy and people need to pipe down.  Continue reading “Cissy Houston Gives Up On Blocking Bobbi Kristina’s Inheritance”

Houston Family Reality Show On The Way

Way to capitalize on your recently lost and excruciatingly famous family member. Cissy Houston and Bobbi Kristina, Whitney Houston‘s mother and daughter, are set to star in a 10 episode reality show. The working title is The Houston Family Chronicles.

The show will run in late 2012 on the Lifetime channel and will focus on the bonding process of Whitney’s relatives in their time of grief, with cameras following them everywhere but the bathroom? Wicked smart.

Other key figures will include Houston’s brother Gary and her longtime manager and sister-in-law Pat and her teen daughter who I assume is friends with Bobbi Kristina? Bobby Brown is not reported to be involved though I’m sure he’ll make an appearance.  Continue reading “Houston Family Reality Show On The Way”

Whitney’s ‘Sparkle’ And Bobbi Kristina’s Intervention

A spurt of Whitney Houston news has graced the net in recent days, the full toxicology and autopsy report, a movie trailer for Sparkle and an intervention for her and Bobby Brown’s daughter, Bobbi Kristina.

Bobby emphasis on the “y” is facing up to a year for his DUI while RadarOnline reports about the gathering for his daughter’s marijuana, pill, and alcohol problems.

A source claims that Clive Davis went so far as to offer to help launch her music career if she goes to rehab, saying:

“Everyone is worried sick about Krissy…her aunt Pat got a number of her friends and family to come to Atlanta and have a serious talk with her about her sobriety. There were lots of tears, but Bobbi Kristina didn’t listen.”  Continue reading “Whitney’s ‘Sparkle’ And Bobbi Kristina’s Intervention”

Coverage Of Whitney’s Star-Studded Funeral

By now you’ve surely heard of Whitney Houston’s three and a half hour funeral procession (or “Home Going” ceremony) yesterday in New Jersey. A plethora of friends, family and admirers came to mourn at the televised event.

Stars included Oprah, Mariah Carey, Stevie Wonder and even Bodyguard co-star Kevin Costner who spoke beautifully on Houston’s perfectionist insecurity: “It was the burden that made her great and the part that caused her to stumble in the end.” Continue reading “Coverage Of Whitney’s Star-Studded Funeral”

Glee’s Whitney Houston Coincidence And Chaka Khan’s Unfiltered Memory

Chances are you’re sick of Whitney Houston coverage, hear me out though, not because you don’t love her and her legacy but because people go overboard analyzing and picking apart the situation.

Half of what you see is love and respect and the other half is the media capitalizing on that, which tends to negate everything. My favorite interview so far was Piers Morgan’s sit down with Chaka Khan especially when she mentioned the insanity (and stupidity) of the Clive Davis party.
